Fortnite: Destiny 2 Skins Confirmed by Leakers

After rumours began swirling of a potential crossover announcement between Fortnite and a major IP like DOOM or Lord of The Rings, many fans were excited to hear the announcement.

It appears that despite prior rumours suggesting otherwise, the new crossover is none of the recent rumours but instead Bungie's popular MMO-like shooter Destiny 2.

Released in 2017, Destiny 2 has since gone on to find massive success through its many expansions and frequent updates, becoming one of the most popular games in the world today and a title that's likely to continue its successes into the future.

Here is all the information we have on the upcoming collaboration.

Destiny 2 Collab Coming Tonight

The newest collab with Bungie's Destiny 2 is set to arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop tonight as the characters of Exo Stranger, Zavala and Ikora are the three characters joining the battle royale.

Fan-favourite character Cayde-6 meanwhile appears to be a definite no for the crossover, despite his massive popularity.

Fortnite x Destiny 2 Collab Coming Soon.

Destiny 2 was added as an option to the list of crossovers potentially scheduled to appear in the popular battle royale by German Fortnite leaker MidaRado, a report that was later confirmed by leakers like ShiinaBR.

As of writing, there is no current date scheduled for the potential crossover between Destiny 2 and Fortnite but we know it's expected to be officially revealed as of next week.

The event will likely have featured comments appear in both games, with the leaked image seemingly showing some Fortnite-themed armour sets to be used in Destiny 2 once its collaboration is underway.

Fortnite will likely also see some themed cosmetics appear in the Item Shop, with Paul Tassi suggesting the characters of Commander Zavala, Cayde-6 and Ikora among others when writing about the collaboration for Forbes.

The Fortnite and Destiny Crossover are unlikely to be anything significant outside of the introduction of in-game skins, with no major event likely to take place until the introduction of Season 4 due to the ongoing crossover with Dragon Ball to help promote the new movie which was released earlier this month.
