Fortnite servers are currently down as the community wait for the fourth chapter of the game.
However, Epic Games aren't one to keep fans waiting.
Going to the Fortnite chapter 4 website allowed players to put in some coordinates.
Inputting the correct coordinates showed some of the new content available.
However, the full patch notes for the fourth season have now officially been revealed by Epic Games.
So, let's look at the full patch notes for Fortnite chapter 4 and what fans should expect from that.

Chapter 4 New Zones
Fortnite's island has some brand new changes coming.
The new zones coming are...
- The Citadel
- Anvil Square
- Brutal Bastion
- Frenzy Fields
New Fortnite Mechanics
Minecraft? Move over, Fortnite is here with its brand new mechanic.
Mining has been added to the game and the kinetic ore that is mined can be used to attack enemies.
Travelling to the Shattered Slabs mining facility is where you can find this damaging ore.
New mounts are also being added with some new dirt bikes called Trail Thrashers.
A new movement option is the final new mechanic being added to the game.
Hurdle allows players to vault over small obstacles by sprinting straight at them.
Reality Augments
Reality Augments are a new feature which gives buffs to you and your weapons.
The more time spent in a match, the more augments players can collect and they all last until the end of the match.
Here are all of the augments currently included...
- One of the 22 Day one Reality Augments Light Fingers. Makes your weapons using Light Ammo reload faster.
- One of the 22 Day one Reality Augments Mechanical Archer. Gives you a Mechanical Explosive Blow & Mechanical Shockwave Bow.
- One of the 22 Day one Reality Augments Aerialists. Grants you Glider redeploy for the rest of the match.
- One of the 22 Day one Reality Augments Supercharged. Your vehicles won’t consume fuel and they’ll have increased Health.
- One of the 22 Day one Reality Augments Soaring Sprints. While sprinting, you’ll be able to jump much higher—and jump with lower gravity.
New Weapons
Ex-Caliber Rifle
This powerful, semi-automatic rifle fires a ballistic blade at your enemies that detonates mere moments later.
Thunder Shotgun
A pump-action shotgun that deals high damage and shoots two rounds at a time. Just as thunder tears through the sky, this shotgun tears through skirmishes and shotgun shells.
Maven Auto Shotgun
An automatic, fast-firing shotgun with moderate damage and range. A true maven, however, will know how to make the most of it.
Red-Eye Assault Rifle
An automatic assault rifle with a custom red dot sight for improved accuracy. Made for a focused wielder, this assault rifle has a controlled fire rate.
Twin Mag SMG
Two are better than one: this automatic, fast-firing SMG has a double-sided magazine for an extra fast reload.
Tactical Pistol
Don’t count this one out. This automatic, powerful sidearm can lay down serious firepower from its small frame.
Shockwave Hammer
Not only does this melee weapon deal damage to opponents, but it also launches them far away. You can also use it to launch yourself and your teammates.
New Items
Slap Berries
This fruit is so refreshing you won’t want to stand still. Eat one for not only Effective Health but also short-term unlimited Energy regen to stay sprinting longer.
Slap Juice
Thanks to the Slap Juice factory at Slappy Shores, there’s Slap Juice! Slap Juice grants more Effective Health than a Slap Berry, and also a longer temporary Energy regen.
Sky Jellies
If you see these jellyfish nearby, fear not—they want to help you. If you come in contact with these floating creatures, you’ll experience a bounce effect and have some Effective Health restored.
Changes to Fortnite POIs
At the beginning of each match in Fortnite Chapter 4, random POIs will be selected as hot spots for that match.
Players can see which POIs will be hotspots as they will have golden text and drones flying over the area.
These drones hold gold high-rarity weapons which players can shoot down to get the loot.
Staying long enough in the area also means that you can Capture Points which show your team banner.
New Battle Pass
The brand new battle pass for Fortnite Chapter 4 will bring a bunch of new content to the game.
Purchasing the battle pass will immediately unlock Selene.
Additionally, players can also get Maasai, Doom Slayer, Dusty, Nezumi, Helsie, the Ageless, and Geralt of Rivia.
