Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 Weapons: Mandalorian Jetpack, Amban Sniper, Vaulted and Unvaulted Weapons

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is finally here!

After an epic live event yesterday, which saw the Marvel heroes defeat Galactus, it is now time to jump into the new season.

Here's everything we know.

Vaulted/Unvaulted Weapons

Here is every weapon that was vaulted at the start of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5:

  • Burst Assault Rifle
  • Epic/Legendary Pump Shotgun
  • Legendary Combat Shotgun
  • Epic/Legendary Tactical SMG
  • Revolver
  • Fire Trap
  • Scoped Assault Rifle
  • LMG

Here is every weapon that was unvaulted at the start of Season 5:

  • Heavy Assault Rifle
  • Tactical Assault Rifle
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Charge Shotgun
  • Double Barrel Shotgun
  • P90 (Epic/Legendary)
  • SMG (Common-Rare)
  • Pistol (Epic/Legendary)
  • Storm Scout Rifle
  • Balloons

New Weapons

There are a handful of new weapons that have been added to the game with the 15.00 update.

Mandalorian Jetpack

Both the Mandalorian Jetpack and Amban Rifle can be found by defeating the Mandalorian boss.

He can be found at his Razor Crest ship, which is just south east of Colossal Coliseum.

Colossal Coliseum can be found where Frenzy Farm used to be.

The Mandalorian Jetpack is similar to the Jetpack that was added in Season 4, except it doesn't run out.

It runs out of charge while flying, meaning you can't continuously fly.

But it doesn't run out of fuel and can be worn throughout the entire match.

Amban Rifle

The Amban Sniper Rifle is also found by defeating the Mandalorian.

This is a single shot thermal sniper that deals 110 body damage.

Dragon Breath Shotgun

The Dragon Breath Shotgun is a new weapon that has been added to the game with the 15.00 update.

It has a 4 round clip, but the gun fires all 4 rounds at the same time, making it a one shot item.

The max damage it does is 140 body shot and 175 head shot, with a 4.2 second reload time.

Despite its rather powerful damage output, it likely won't be a good many people will use, unless they're going to be carrying an SMG too .

Launch Pads Returning

Fortnite dataminer, Mang0e has found that the assets for the Launch Pad were added back into the files with the recent 14.60 update.

This could mean that it is returning in Season 5, which will be great news to a lot of players.

The Launch Pad was a staple in the game from way back in Chapter 1 Season 1 all the way through to Chapter 2.

Over the course of Chapter 2 the Launch Pad has cycled in and out of the game.

But with the map being larger, mobility is more crucial than ever, but Epic Games has seemed to neglect mobility items throughout Chapter 2 in favour of vehicles.

The Launch Pad was specifically added back into the Battle Royale files, Creative has its own files where the Launch Pad has always been.

There is a chance though, that the Launch Pad may just be coming back for an LTM, although the Unvaulted LTM was recently in rotation and they weren't in that.

A new season of Fortnite always means big changes to the loot pool, and with them being vaulted this season, it does make sense that they would make a return.

Especially if we are getting the rumoured remixed map that combines Chapter 1 with Chapter 2.

Upcoming Weapons

It is very common to see weapons added to the game before they're finished, in fact sometimes they never get finished.

GUESS WHO - Which of these weapons could we see?

As of right now these new weapons just have their names and stats, which will likely change.

But it shows there are new weapons coming to game soon, likely in Season 5.

Wad/Cash

Fortnite Leaker HYPEX has revealed that a new "Wad" item will be coming to the game in the future.

These are essentially cash and can be found in stashes or in safes.

It is presumed that these will be used to purchase items, weapons, and healables.

This should act similar to the Vending Machines that used to be in the game, except you use Wads instead of materials.

Fire Extinguisher

HYPEX recently leaked the addition of the Fire Extinguisher.

It was said that is may be coming to Creative rather than Battle Royale.

This would mean it could be used in this like Deathruns or other player made mini-games.

FIGHTING FIRE - The Extinguisher will certainly have its uses!

But it would make sense for it to come to Battle Royale as a combat for items such as Firefly's, which set buildings on fire and cause them to be destroyed.

This would be a great counter to items and weapons and cause fire.

It could also be used to escape from enemies by creating a cloud of smoke, much like the Smoke Bomb that has been in the game previously.

Its also possibly we may see a Creative LTM where we have to extinguish fires in a competitive format.

Slurp Bazooka

Another leaked item that was noted a few patches ago is the Slurp Bazooka.

This item we assume is going to work the same as the Bandage Bazooka; which can either heal yourself or your team mates.

The Slurp aspect of the item will be shield rather than white health, so a high valued items for sure!

What we'd like to see

The Tactical Shotgun was vaulted recently, only leaving the Charge and Pump shotguns in the game.

Now the Charge has been vaulted and the Combat Shotgun has returned.

The Tactical Shotgun would be perfect to fill in the gap between the Pump and Combat Shotgun.

The Tactical Assault Rifle was only in the game for a short time, during the John Wick event in Season 9.

It has made random appearances here and there through LTMs but has never been officially brought back to the game.

The Tactical Assault Rifle bridged the gap between Assault Rifle and SMG and allowed players to carry it instead of both weapons and it would be a great addition to the game again.

The Hand Cannon became a popular item in later seasons, after having been largely ignored early on.

It is a great alternative to a Sniper Rifle, much like the Hunting Rifle was, and is a much better weapon than the Revolver.

On that note, please bring back the Hunting Rifle too Epic!

Moving over to items and mobility, we would love to see the Rift To Go make a return.

Over the course of Season 4 we have seen many rifts appear around the map, these are an excellent form of mobility and having the Rift To Go items again would further add to that.

Finally it would be great to see the Slurp Juice make a comeback.

As of right now the healable list is very basic, apart from the Chug Splash's there are just 2 items for both health and shield.

Foraging has become a large part of Fortnite, but these can be unpractical to carry as it is large to find a large amount of them.

The Slurp Juice was a great healing item that would heal the player over a longer period of time rather than instant healing.
