Some clever Xbox enthusiasts have been digging in the game code of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
What they have found may hint at the game offering Xbox Series X VR support, which fans of the series will be incredibly excited about.
Whilst there isn’t any way to confirm these findings, the future looks hopeful for Xbox Series x VR.
Let’s take a look at what exactly the users found now!
Microsoft Flight Simulator Code
The individual that found the code, Cygnifick, is a member of the Flight Simulator forum, and found the code in question after doing some digging in the game files.
The references in the code refer to PC_VR and SCARLETT_VR.

Whilst PC_VR is obviously referring to the support for VR on the Windows version of the game, Scarlett_VR remains unknown.
Scarlett code history
The scarlett code has been used for a long time to refer to the Xbox Series X and S consoles.
This has led many to believe that this may in fact suggest a VR version of the simulator is coming to Xbox.
The VR may manifest as a separate device which users have to purchase, an Xbbox branded VR headset similar to the PlayStation’s or accessible through existing VR technology.
No Confirmation
Unfortunately, with no word from Microsoft yet we cannot confirm these suspicions of Xbox receiving a Microsoft Flight Simulator VR version.
The code may hint at a feature which the company is testing but then leaves as is.
We don’t yet know if we will see the feature on the new console, but we sure hope so!
