The latest FIFA 23 squad update has dropped and plenty of young players have been impacted by the most recent set of changes this time, including Red Devils star Marcus Rashford.
In what can only be described as nonsensical, EA has made the decision to hammer arguably the most in-form forward in world football right now in Manchester United's talisman Rashford.
Take a look at the changes made to the England international's card as well as all the youngsters that have been upgraded and what impact those adjustments could have on FIFA 24 Career Mode.
Nonsensical changes
What will surely come as a relief to Man United fans, Rashford's overall rating and in-game stats have remained untouched since the previous set of upgrades back in February.
However, EA has made the strange decision to remove two of Rashford's traits.
The traits which have been removed from Rashford's card are as follows:
- Poacher
- Complete Forward
The United academy graduate has been on fire this season, having registered 29 goals and 9 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign.
It's clear to see that the English attacker has come on leaps and bounds since the World Cup, transforming himself into a complete number nine.
The widest thing about these changes is that EA only gave Rashford the Poacher and Complete Forward traits in the previous FIFA 23 update on Thursday, 23 February.
In that time, Manchester United have played just two matches, one of which was the Carabao Cup final where the 25-year-old scored and played well.
This literally makes no sense from EA whatsoever.
Young stars boosted
As well as the odd changes made to Rashford's card, EA has given boosts to a number of under 23 players in the latest update.
Borussia Dortmund's 19-year-old sensation Jude Bellingham has been given yet another upgrade, with his sprint speed boosted from 68 to 70.
They must be eating well over in Dortmund as his teammate Nico Schlotterbeck has also been given a +2 in his sprint speed and acceleration.
Another teenager to have been given a boost is Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala.
The Germany international has been given major upgrades in finishing, passing and vision as well as a +1 OVR.
Napoli's Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been outstanding this season alongside striker Victor Osimhen.
The 22-year-old has been given a +1 OVR as well as big boosts in his crossing, finishing, ball control, strength and positioning.
Portuguese duo Goncalo Ramos and Diogo Costa have both been given a +1 OVR, while the pair have been handed in-game stat boosts across the board.
Real Madrid winger Rodrygo has been bumped up by one overall rating too, with big increases to his finishing, dribbling, ball control, shot power and long shots.
FIFA 24 Career Mode starlets
These recent changes give us an indication of which players could be the best to target in FIFA 24 Career Mode.
It goes without saying that Bellingham and Musiala will be two of the most popular players to sign in the upcoming title, with both teenagers boasting a potential of over 90 OVR.
The emergence of Kvaratskhelia makes him a top target for Career Mode, with the winger now holding a potential rating of 89 OVR.
Portugal's World Cup stars Diogo Costa and Goncalo Ramos will represent brilliant options for a slightly lower price, with the pair boasting potential ratings of 87 OVR and 86 OVR respectively.
Nico Schlotterbeck could be THE centre-back to sign in the next instalment of the football sim, as the German perfectly fits the meta and has an 87 OVR potential right now.
Brazilian forward Rodrygo will be a sought-after talent, too, but will no doubt come with a hefty price tag as he can grow into an 89 OVR player.
