FIFA 22 Title Update #7: Gameplay patch brings new heel-chop animation

After what felt like months without one, each new FIFA 22 update has landed quickly as Title Update #7 is next to arrive.

Title Update #7 has already deployed for PC (Origin/Steam) users, but we've finally got news on when it could arrive with some minor changes on other platforms.

Latest - Title Update 7 will deploy soon

After being announced just last week, Title Update #7 for FIFA 22 is finally ready to land on four more platforms.

As confirmed by FIFA Direct in the above tweet, it will soon be available to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia.

Release Date

Title Update #7 was announced by EA in the early hours of Tuesday, 8 March.

The update is currently available for PC (Steam/Origin) users and will be made available for console users a few days later.

This new update comes just weeks after an extensive Title Update #6 which was released on Tuesday, 15 February.

There was also Title Update #6.1 recently, but that was only a minor update to one small feature in the game.

New moves

The latest update has not brought any changes to game modes like Career Mode or Ultimate Team, but you may notice something new just in general gameplay.

EA has added a new animation to the game to improve the way a player strikes the ball when performing a heel-chop.

"Added a new Skill Move animation that occurs when performing a Heel Chop diagonally behind the face angle of the ball carrier."

We aren't quite sure just how different his animation will be just yet, but it is something to watch out for in the coming days!
