The following players are up for April's POTM award:
- Cristiano Ronaldo
- Kevin De Bruyne
- Gabriel Jesus
- Bruno Guimaraes
- Heung-Min Son
- Thiago Alcantara
- Leandro Trossard
- Nathan Collins
Release Date
With the official shortlist now having been revealed the April POTM SBC could be arriving very soon.
The previous Harry Kane Player of the Month SBC expired on Thursday, 28 April, so there will be a bit of a wait for another Premier League POTM SBC to go live.
Thursday, 12 May is the absolute earliest we could see the new SBC come, but it will likely arrive a bit later than that as EA needs to allow time for votes.
Top contenders
A couple of the April nominees are stand out contenders for this month's POTM award.
Heung Min Son
Tottenham Hotspur looks like they have secured European football for next season, but what competition they will be in is another matter.
Heung Min Son has been dragging the team there by himself at some points this season and started off April in fine form.
A 5-1 win against Newcastle saw him get a goal and an assist, which he followed up with a hat-trick against Aston Villa in a 4-0 win.
A loss and a 0-0 draw followed that, and Spurs don't have another game in April, so Son will hope his early work is enough to gain the award.
Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin De Bruyne is probably the frontrunner for the award, with goal involvements in all four games Manchester City have played this month (and another to go against a leaky Leeds side).
He started the month with a goal against Burnley, then another vital one in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool, which he followed up with an assist against Brighton and two assists against Watford!
March POTM Winner
Harry Kane claimed the Premier League Player of the Month for March, gaining a 93-rated card that boasts brilliant shooting, dribbling, passing and physicality stats.
Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane had a great March, with the side winning three out of their four games to keep up their hopes of European football next season.
Kane contributed in all four matches, including a brace in the 5-0 drubbing of Everton.
