Having a free-kick specialist in your squad can give your team the edge in FIFA 22 and produce wins in tight games on FUT or Career Mode.
It isn't just down to FK Accuracy, a player also needs good stats in Curve, Shot Power and Long Shots
With ratings for FIFA 22 set to be dropped imminently and the release less than a month away, we look at who are set to be the best free-kick takers on the game.
The Right Player
Obviously, the Free Kick accuracy attribute is important, but perhaps more so is Curve and Shot Power.
This will let you get the ball up over the wall and back down, hopefully at a fast enough pace that the GK can't react to it.
When taking from further out, Long Shots come into play.
Finding the right combination of all these attributes leads to the top takers.

Lionel Messi (FK Accuracy 94)
The best FK Accuracy on the game, Messi can bang it in the top bins with ease.
His 93 Curve is also one of the best around, allowing him great ability to get the ball up and down over the wall or swing it around.
86 Shot Power could be higher, but that's just picking holes, which his 94 Long Shots makes up for that.
James Ward-Prowse (FK Accuracy 92)
One of a select few with FK Accuracy over 90, the Englishman is similar to Messi by having high accuracy and curve (both 92).
Again, he lacks with 82 Shot Power.
Probably not one to have a pop from range with, as his 79 Long Shots aren't great.
Aleksandar Kolarov (FK Accuracy 88)
Kolarov has a mean strike on him.
With 95 Shot Power and 86 Long Shots, feel free to drill one from range with this guy.
He's not just about power though, with 88 FK Accuracy and 85 Curve giving him a touch of finesse.
Ruslan Malinovskyi (FK Accuracy 88)
Very similar stats to Kolarov as both have 88 FK Accuracy and 85 Curve.
His 90 Shot Power is a big drop off, but he does outdo Kolarov with 87 Long Shots.
Gareth Bale (FK Accuracy 87)
One of the best all-rounders.
Bale mixes power and accuracy to make him potent from free-kicks.
90 Curve, 87 FK Accuracy, 90 Shot Power, 87 Long Shots is one hell of a combination.
Bruno Fernandes (FK Accuracy 87)
Another more rounded player, Fernandes will do well to take free-kicks with Cristiano Ronaldo around.
He is actually a lot better than CR7, with 87 Curve, 87 FK Accuracy and 89 Shot Power.
James Rodriguez (FK Accuracy 86)
The Columbian is more than capable of taking a free-kick closer to goal with 89 Curve.
However, you may want to practice with him from further out, with 92 Long Shots giving him an edge over others of his ilk.
Marco Reus (FK Accuracy 85)
Reus still has what it takes, even if he is slowing.
88 Curve, 85 FK Accuracy and 87 Shot Power make him handy from close range.
Toni Kroos (FK Accuracy 84)
On the lower end of the accuracy front, Kroos makes up for it with 86 Curve, 89 Shot Power and 86 Long Shots.
He wouldn't be our first choice, but he is more than capable of sticking it in the net.
Kevin De Bruyne (FK Accuracy 83)
A great option if you want to have a pop from distance, De Bruyne has 91 Shot Power and 91 Long Shots.
His 85 Curve and 83 FK Accuracy are on the lower side of what we would like, yet he will still cause problems.
