Signing a wonderkid on your Career Mode in FIFA 22 can take your team to the next level.
We're looking at wonderkids from Asia in this article, and with many of them still playing in the Asian leagues, you could pick up a real bargain as they don't have a high valuation that you would encounter in the bigger leagues.
Read on to find out who the best Asian wonderkids are on FIFA 22.
What makes a wonderkid?
For a real wonderkid you have to be a teenager upon FIFA 22's release, so only players aged 19 or younger at the start of Career Mode will be included.
That means Takefusa Kubo and Takehiro Tomuyasu just don't make the list, but with potentials of 88 OVR and 86 OVR, respectively, they are worth thinking about signing.
Takuhiro Nakai (OVR 61 - POT 83)
Real Madrid saw something they liked in Takuhiro Nakai, signing the youngster early.
With his passing and dribbling ability, he will become a good CAM, but won't be able to fill in at any other positions, as all his other stats are pretty poor.
Jung Sang Bin (OVR 62 - POT 81)
Jung Sang Bin is pretty quick, with 85 PAC.
His dribbling and finishing will need improving for him to become a real goal threat, so make sure you put him on the right development plan.
Liel Abada (OVR 72 - POT 80)
With six goals and four assists, Liel Abada is having a big impact since moving to Celtic.
He isn't lightning fast, with 83 PAC, but his 75 DRI, 90 Agility and 91 Balance help him dart past defenders.
Disclaimer: From here on in we can't really call these players wonderkids, as their potential won't be above 80 OVR. There is still decent talent, so consider signing these players for lower-rated clubs.
Eom Ji Sung (OVR 60 - POT 79)
Eom Ji Sung has good movement stats, and 63 DRI, but will need much better passing and crossing to make him effective on the wing.
It might be worth converting him to a CAM, improving his vision, and passing attributes being a necessity if you do.
Lee Young Joon (OVR 56 - POT 77)
Lee Young Joon can be a target man for your team, at 6'3".
With 71 Strength he can hold the ball up but needs putting on the training ground to improve his distribution, finishing, and dribbling.
Ryotaro Araki (OVR 67 - POT 77)
Ryotaro Araki is best positioned as a CAM or CF due to his good passing ability and skill on the ball.
He can also be deployed on the wing as a RM, as he has 83 PAC and 85 Agility to spring past players.
Shinya Nakano (OVR 60 - POT 76)
He has good acceleration and agility to be able to twist and turn with wingers coming at him, but Shinya Nakano will need a lot of training in all other aspects of his game to become a decent player.
He is a designated LB, but has a secondary position of CB, yet at 5'6", we would question whether he should play there.
Yuma Obata (OVR 63 - POT 76)
Not the tallest keeper around at 6'0", Yuma Obata will be helped out by his 73 Jumping.
He could make a decent backup to your regular number 1.
Wadi Ibrahim Suzuki (OVR 58 - POT 75)
Wadi Ibrahim Suzuki may not become the highest-rated striker around, but he could definitely become impactful.
He is 6'4", has 85 Strength and 70 Heading Accuracy, so if you like playing with a target man he could be a cheap option.
Satoshi Tanaka (OVR 63 - POT 75)
An all-rounder who can play at CB, CDM, and CM, Satoshi Tanaka can actually do a job at any position on the field and not feel out of place.
With the right training development, you could mold him into whatever player your team is in need of, making him a really nice signing on Career Mode.
