1. Jan Oblak (OVR 91)

Position: GK

Age: 26

Club: Atletico Madrid

Country: Slovenia

Oblak had a superb season last year, being a key reason to the Atletico Madrid defence conceding the least amount of goals in La Liga last season. This highlights why he is now considered one of the best Goal Keepers in the world and is definitely worthy of the spot in any FUT this year!

2. Marc-Andre ter Stegen (OVR 90)

Position: GK

Age: 27

Club: Barcelona

Country: Germany

Barcelona’s number 1 has a serious shout to be the best goalkeeper in the world. On this year’s game, Ter Stegen is right in amongst it with Jan Oblak and last year’s best goalkeeper David de Gea.

Despite all this, he is still struggling to get in the Germany side over captain Manuel Neuer, despite many fans calls for Marc-Andre ter Stegen to start consistently.

3. Alisson (OVR 89)

Position: GK

Age: 26

Club: Liverpool

Country: Brazil

Has any player in world football had as much of a successful season as Alisson Becker? With Champions League and Copa America medals to his name, the answer is surely no.

In his first season in Liverpool colours, he kept a staggering 21 clean sheets and was one of the main catalysts for Liverpool’s transformation into title contenders.

4. David de Gea (OVR 89)

Position: GK

Age: 28

Club: Manchester United

Country: Spain

The world’s best goalkeeper had a fairly poor season last year. Not to mention his whole team was shambolic too.

The talent of David de Gea is out of this world and he has helped Manchester United more times than he has ever hindered them.

5. Manuel Neuer (OVR 88)

Position: GK

Age: 33

Club: Bayern Munich

Country: Germany

Manuel Neuer was more pivotal than anyone in the introduction of the sweeper-keeper role, with blistering pace off his line and great ball skills.

Sadly, he hasn’t recuperated his best form after a recurring foot injury kept him out of much of the 2017/18 season, leading to several calls for him to be replaced as Germany’s starting goalkeeper.

6. Ederson (OVR 88)

Position: GK

Age: 26

Club: Manchester City

Country: Brazil

You can safely say that Ederson has been a significant part of its ongoing revolution. He has the passing range of a top-class deep-lying playmaker, allowing him to frequently start Manchester City attacks himself.

The Brazilian is a useful shot-stopper as well and is rightfully rated as one of the best keepers in the game.

7. Hugo Lloris (OVR 88)

Position: GK

Age: 32

Club: Tottenham

Country: France

In many ways, Hugo Lloris’s World Cup campaign characterised his career – fine leadership, spectacular saves then a needless mistake gifting Mario Mandzukic a tap-in in the final. Lloris has suffered with his player rating because of errors that seem to have crept into his game a little more recently, despite some vital saves for Spurs last season.

8. Thibaut Courtois (OVR 88)

Position: GK

Age: 27

Club: Real Madrid

Country: Belgium

Courtois came into FIFA 19 on a massive high, having sealed a move to Real Madrid and the World Cup Golden Glove. Now, with Keylor Navas out of the frame, Courtois will hope to recapture some of his best Chelsea and Belgium form.

8. Samir Handanovic (OVR 88)

Position: GK

Age: 35

Club: Inter Milan

Country: Slovenia

For the second season in a row, Samir Handanovic rates as the best goalkeeper in Serie A. At the age of 35, he shows no sign of decline.

Now in his eighth season at Inter Milan, this season is probably his best chance to win the Scudetto, as Antonio Conte attempts to build a side worthy of breaking Juventus’ stronghold on the league.

9. Keylor Navas (OVR 87)

Position: GK

Age: 32

Club: PSG

Country: Costa Rica

Costa Rican stopper Keylor Navas has found a new club in an attempt to boost his career, joining Paris Saint Germain after Gianluigi Buffon left the club to rejoin Juventus. Navas will come in as one of Ligue 1’s best between the sticks in FIFA 20.

Will Navas be able to continue proving why he is one of the best Keepers in the world?

10. Wojciech Szczesny (OVR 86)

Position: GK

Age: 29

Club: Juventus

Country: Poland

The Pole kept 11 clean sheets in Serie A last season as he picked up his second successive Serie A title, but this time as the starting goalkeeper. That alone, portrays why Szczesny is worthy of being in the top 12 GK in FIFA 20.

11. Gianluigi Donnarumma (OVR 85)

Position: GK

Age: 20

Club: AC Milan

Country: Italy

Is there another 20-year-old in Serie A so crucial to their team? It is staggering to think that Gianluigi Donnarumma is already such a refined keeper at such a young age, especially in a position where players tend to develop late. He was a standout performer last season, justifying why he’s considered the finest young goalkeeper in the world.
