MW2 shoot house

Shoot house in one of the most iconic maps from the Modern Warfare 2019, and for good reason. It has a great mix of some long sight lines and close-quarter engagements, so whether you're farming longshots or skirmishing in buildings, it has something for everyone.

Modern Warfare 2 is bringing shoot house back, the first in a long line of fan-favourite maps coming to the new Call of Duty title. Here's everything you need to know before it releases.

Shoot house release date in MW2

Shoot house will drop with Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 on the 16th of November, along with all the brand-new content for the season. Expect brand-new guns and operators to be able to use on the map.

Shoot house will be redesigned for Modern Warfare 2 but will retain the same theme and feel as previous iterations. We can expect a playlist of shoot house and shipment to be coming later on in the season, in the same fashion as the 'shoot the ship' playlist from Modern Warfare 2019.

Why was Shoot House so popular?

Shoot House is inspired by a Mexican special forces training facility, designed to simulate intense close-quarters combat. The fast-paced feel will remain for Modern Warfare 2, and is much of the reason the map has been so popular.

The map caters to all playstyles, as for a slower feel you can head to the back edges for long sight lines through the centre, and for skirmishing the side quadrants are where it's at.

Shoot house will be perfect for camo and level grinding, as the non-stop action will roll in levels and weapon XP. There is no doubt it will remain one of the most popular maps in Modern Warfare 2.
