What time does the Call of Duty Vanguard Open Beta start this weekend?

The Call of Duty Vanguard Beta is almost ready to start again and we have everything you need to know about what time the Open Beta is due to start and when you can get Early Access to Vanguard's multiplayer.

LEVEL 20 REWARDS - What do you get?

If you didn't think playing Call of Duty Vanguard early was enough of a reward for playing Call of Duty Vanguard early, there's actually some rewards you can earn for hitting level 20 in the Open Beta.

All you need to do is level up, no matter the platform, and you'll unlock the following:

  • A Weapon Blueprint for Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone, available in Vanguard following the game’s launch on November 5, and in Warzone when the new main map launches later this year.
  • An Arthur Kingsley Operator in Call of Duty: Mobile, available shortly after the end of the Beta.

From what we've seen in the Open Beta so far, the STG-44 is a beast - so, unlocking the "Rat-a-tat" Weapon Blueprint for the STG-44 in Vanguard and Warzone is a no-brainer! Kingsley in COD Mobile is fun, too...

START TIME - When does it go live?

The Vanguard Beta is going to be available from September 16th - for those with Early Access on Xbox and PC, and everyone on PlayStation consoles - at the following times:

  • 10:00 PST
  • 13:00 EST
  • 18:00 BST

Furthermore, the Vanguard Beta is opening up to everyone on September 18th at the following times:

  • 10:00 PST
  • 13:00 EST
  • 18:00 BST

You'll be able to play this Open Beta period on both PlayStation and Xbox without PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold - It's certainly the best time to try Vanguard before you buy it. The times above are accurate, but the Vanguard Beta servers went online a couple of hours early last week. With this in mind, we might see the Vanguard Beta start a tad earlier than expected again...

We know this is all a bit confusing but if you've pre-ordered Vanguard digitally on Xbox or PC, you should be able to start downloading the Vanguard Beta right now - or at least 24 hours before it goes live. If you pre-ordered it through a retailer, you should have a code to redeem on callofduty.com/betaredeem for a download code that you can use on the Xbox Store or Battle.net.

Pre-Order Options

We've got a full guide on pre-ordering Call of Duty Vanguard here, but here's the low-down.

You can pre-order different versions depending on if you want access to both current and next-gen.

If you pre-order any version on PlayStation, you'll get access to the closed PS beta period.
