Season 1 Release Date
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1's start date is set for Thursday, 10 December 2020.
Season 1 Road Map
Here's how the Black Ops Cold War Season 1 Roadmap is shaping up:
Price
All new DLC content will be free to players on all platforms.
However, if you wish to buy the battle pass, it will likely cost 900 COD Points.
Nuketown '84
Nuketown '84 entered Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on Tuesday, November 24.
Nuketown '84 brings a brand-new '80s vibe, from outrageous graffiti to mannequins dressed in festival outfits.

You'll be glad to know that the general structure of the map has remained, with the familiar two houses on either side of the map providing the high vantage points.
What will feature in Season 1?
As was the theme last year, we're expecting a variety of new content throughout the season.
The following features have been confirmed in the Roadmap:
- Multiplayer maps and modes
- 2v2 Gunfight Returns
- New weapons
- New zombies modes
- Classified Warzone experience
- Much more
The most important feature is the Battle Pass. This will give players access to new cosmetics to sport in the game, from guns and operators to vehicles and much more.
With each new season, a patch also drops that massively affects the meta and the gameplay as a whole.

You can expect regular weapon adjustments and bug fixes to improve the quality of general gameplay.
Battle Pass
The new season will bring a new Battle Pass that players can take advantage of no matter which game they play.
The new Battle Pass will cost 900 COD points and bring over 100 tiers of content.
The Season 1 Battle Pass icon has been leaked:
This will include cosmetics such as Operator skins, weapon charms, weapon skins, XP tokens, watch designs, calling cards and much more.
You will most likely be able to pay a bit extra for the Battle Pass Bundle which will bring 15-20 level skips.
Ultimately, if you choose not to spend any money on the Battle Pass, you will still get access to some free items.
Warzone
All content is universal, meaning what is unlocked in the Black Ops Cold War Battle Pass will be available in Warzone.
The story of each season will likely revolve around the evolution of this mode.
So far, we know very little about what Warzone has in-store for us.
All we know, based on the Road Map, is that we are getting a 'Classified Warzone Experience' and the fact thatĀ Cold War weapons will be added to Warzone.
Weapons
The new weapons are unconfirmed at the moment, but looking at the Road Map, the new weapon looks like the Chicom CQB from Black Ops 2, which is the QCW-05 in real-life; this is in fact the Groza SMG.
However, the time frame for this weapon seems wrong and it is unlikely to be this weapon. Not to mention a burst-fire SMG already exists in the game.
The following weapons will arrive post-launch:
- Scorpion
- CZ75
- Dragunov
- FAL
- GALIL
- Striker
- OTS-14
