Black Ops Cold War's Season 3 Reloaded update is finally here. Called the 80s Action Heroes event, it adds a lot to the game.
John Rambo and John McClane are joining the crew of Operators, new weapons join the loadout options, and a new mode finally drops.
As we get closer to the update going live in-game, we've got everything you need to know about it.
Latest - Full Patch Notes
The full patch notes for Black Ops Cold War's mid-season 3 update have been released by Treyarch. You can check them out over at the studio's website.
They're pretty extensive, so we haven't included them here. Weapon balance changes are coming to most weapons, so a lot will change this week.
Update Release Date
Black Ops Cold War's mid-season update is already out to be downloaded. This will include all the new "80s Action Heroes" content and a standard array of title tweaks and Playlist Changes.
However, the new content won't actually be live in-game until 12am ET/5am BST on May 20.
Update Download Size
The file download sizes for the Black Ops Cold War Season 3 Reloaded update have also been revealed. They are:
- PlayStation 5: 10.3 GB
- PlayStation 4: 7.1 GB
- Xbox One Series X / Xbox One Series S: 13.1 GB
- Xbox One: 8.3 GB
- PC: 10.3 GB
Die Hard & Rambo Content
It has also been confirmed that you'll be able to purchase a Die Hard and Rambo bundle following the update.
You'll be able to play as the two John, McClane and Rambo, and the bundles in the store will include three blueprints and more.
New Maps & Weapons
We always get a new Multiplayer map or two in a mid-season update. It has been confirmed that Standoff is being added as a standard Multiplayer Map, as was confirmed at the start of Season 3, and Duga is joining Multi-Team.
As for new weapons, the AMP63 has been confirmed to be arriving in a couple of weeks time, but there are some melee weapons joining at the start of the 80s Action Heroes update.
The Baseball Bat will join the action (not coming to Warzone until Season 4) from the outset.
80s Action Heroes Cinematic Trailer
If you're looking for our first proper look at the update, you can check out the brand new Cinematic Trailer from the many teams behind Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War below:
The Season 3 Reloaded update is going to be an explosive, action-packed riot that features two of Hollywood's greatest action heroes: Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis. It's not what we expected, but it's damned cool.
New Battle Royale Mode
As was teased back at the start of Season 3, a new battle royale like mode called Multi-Team Elimination will be beginning this week.
"In Multi-Team Elimination, ten teams of four will drop in and fight to survive against ever-expanding radiation zones. Redeploys will be limited and loadouts will be restricted, so teams will need to scavenge for weapons, Scorestreaks, Armor, and more."
It sounds very much like Black Ops Cold War's own version of Mini-Royale, the smaller mode in Warzone.
