Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin's Creed Mirage is the second game in the franchise to be designed for next-gen, and it looks set to live up to the hype. Players will be able to get in on the action regardless of their platform though and delve into a completely new setting.

As well as promising the most versatile playstyle in the franchise's history, it will feature a more interactive open World than ever before. Here's everything we know so far about when the game is releasing and much more.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Release Date

Unfortunately, we don't have an exact release date just yet for the latest game in the Assassin's Creed franchise. It's been dubbed to be released sometime in 2023, but we will keep you updated when any news emerges with a more exact window.

Rumours suggest that it will release roughly mid-year, around August, but nothing has been confirmed by Ubisoft so far. We assume that as in all other titles, Assassin's Creed Mirage will be available on all the usual platforms at launch.

There will be a hefty DLC pack available on release, inspired by the Prince of Persia, and will come free with the Deluxe edition for a slightly higher price tag. More DLC will no doubt be released as the game cycle progresses.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Setting

Mirage is set in 9th century Baghdad, with the story kicking off in 861AD, at the beginning of the golden age. The city at your feet was reportedly the centre of the World at the time, with culture, trade, and much more flourishing.

Since Baghdad was effectively destroyed five centuries later, Ubisoft has consulted a great deal of historical texts from surrounding cities. This has ensured that the city and life at large remains as historically accurate and immersive as possible.

As the city is the center of the action, however, the open world we've come to expect will be smaller than many previous editions. It will be much more dense and interactive in Assassin's Creed Mirage though to compensate.
