Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is not long released, although it is a title we adore.
However, it seems that we may already have some hints as to where the next game is going to be set.
So, let's take a look at where the next AC game could be, and how we know this information!
Ubisoft insider leaks
Firstly, the plans for the next game have apparently been leaked on 4chan.
Obviously, the fact that this was first posted to 4chan shows the amount of salt that should be taken with this information (hint, it's more than a pinch).
However, the post contains a concept map and a number of different elements of the core gameplay.
Assassin's Creed India
The game will supposedly be set during the 17th Century. As the post states, this likely means that the Taj Mahal will be in the game.
Given its setting in history, there is still some European presence in India, and apparently, this is what the game will focus on. There will be some sort of rivalry between the British East India Company and the Dutch East India Company.
One striking part of this questionable leak is the map. Supposedly, the map will be larger than AC: Valhalla's incredible offering.
Gameplay Features
Unsurprisingly, the post featured some more information concerning the gameplay and the overarching story of the game.
Firstly, the game will feature a female protagonist. Unlike in AC: Valhalla, you will not be able to pick which gender you can play the game as. This comes just days after a leak suggested that GTA 6 will also have a female protagonist.
The game is said to include all of India, Bangladesh, and a part of Pakistan.
Unfortunately for those still rocking last-gen consoles, the game won't be available. The leak suggests that the game will be made for newer consoles, leaving the PS4 and Xbox One behind.
Finally, the bounty system is back, although it is specific to each region. If you have a bounty in the Mughal Empire, you won't bring it to Dutch-India.
