Wuthering Waves’ poster boy, Jiyan, is here, and if you lucked out on his debut banner then the next step is to gather his Ascension and Forte materials. Jiyan is a 5-Star Aero Resonator who wields a Broadblade, and while his hack-and-slash playstyle makes him easy to pick up, his damage potential is nothing to scoff at.
While you can level Jiyan to 90, specific materials are needed for Ascension at certain stages. With that in mind, we have prepared a pre-farming guide with the materials we know so far so you can start stockpiling them when Jiyan arrives.
Jiyan Ascension and Forte Materials List
To maximize Jiyan's potential, you must gather his Ascension and Forte materials. Ascension materials directly increase his base stats, with higher Ascension levels allowing for further investment in his Fortes (unique character skills).

Jiyan Ascension and Forte Materials Farming Guide
Collecting all of Jiyan's Ascension and Forte materials requires a good bit of running around and even calls for slaying some formidable foes.
Farming Pecok Flowers
Pecok Flowers are mostly scattered on the East and West sides of the Central Plains. All Pecok Flowers spawn every 48 hours in the wild, so if you didn't get enough in one expedition, you can wait two days and try again or just visit the same area in a friend's World. You can also purchase 15 Pecok Flowers from the Shifang Pharmacy in Jinzhou Main City.
Obtaining Roaring Rock Fist
The Roaring Rock First is a material obtained by defeating the weekly boss, Feilian Beringal, at the center of the Dim Forrest. Snatching loot from this giant ape's hands isn't going to be easy!
Farming Howler Core (LF/MF/HF/FF)
Howler Cores come in four different rarities, and each of these is needed for both Jiyan's Ascension and his Forte upgrades. You can collect these Howler Cores by defeating Mutant Organisms out in the wild. Fortunately, you can also synthesize one type of Howler Core into another, making this grind a little easier.
Farming Waveworm Residues (210/226/235/239)
You can get your hands on the required Waveworm Residue(210/226/235/239) by completing the Forgery Challenge: Eroded Ruins. This challenge will reward you with various types of Waveworm Residues, including those needed to strengthen your Broadblade-wielding Jiyan. Alternatively, you can buy these residues from the Souvenir shop.
Obtaining Monument Bell
The Monument Bell is obtained by defeating a lone Bell-Borne Geochelone, the Weekly overworld boss living in the Gorge of Spirits. Make sure you have a game plan for this fight, or you may not come out alive.
Farming Shell Credits
Finally, you're going to need to stock up on a ton of Shell Credits. The fastest way to do this is by playing through the Simulation Field and completing your Weekly Challenges. Additionally, doing all your Dailies, Missions, and Tacet Field/Boss Challenges is also a viable way to stock up on Shell Credits.
