WoW Dragonflight Preservation Evoker Abilities Revealed

World of Warcraft's ninth expansion, Dragonflight, has entered its Alpha, which means that players will be able to test and experience several of the new features and content coming into the game. One of these is a new class, the Evoker which is only playable by the new race, the Dracthyr.

The Evoker has two specializations: Preservation, a healer, and Devastation, a ranged DPS, and thanks to Dragonflight being playable via the Alpha, we now know what the classes' abilities look like.

Here are all of the Preservation Evoker's abilities.

All Preservation Evoker Abilities

Similar to other healers and casters, Preservation Evokers utilize mana as their main form of resource. However, in addition to mana, they have a secondary resource dubbed "Essence."

Essence is used as a certain resource for certain spells and regenerates roughly 1 every 5 seconds. Additionally, the rate of Essence regeneration can be sped up by certain talents—Evokers can only have a maximum of 5 Essence at a time.

Preservation Evoker Offensive Abilities

  • Azure Strike (Blue): Project intense energy onto 2 enemies, dealing (72% of Spell power) Spellfrost damage to them.
  • Unravel (Blue): Sunder an enemy's protective magic, dealing (500% of Spell power) Spellfrost damage to absorb shields. 9 sec cooldown. CLASS TALENT
  • Deep Breath (Black): Take in a deep breath and fly to the targeted location, spewing molten cinders dealing 4 Volcanic damage to enemies in your path. You are immune to movement impairing and loss of control effects while flying. 2 min cooldown
  • Disintegrate (Blue): Consumes 3 Essence Tear into an enemy with a blast of blue magic, inflicting 9 Spellfrost damage over 3 sec, and slowing their movement speed by 30% for 3 sec.
  • Fire Breath (Red): Inhale, stoking your inner flame. Release to exhale, burning enemies in a cone in front of you for [(145% of Spell power)] Fire damage. Deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets. 30 sec cooldown
    I: Deals 12 damage over 4 sec.
    II: Deals 24 damage over 8 sec.
    III: Deals 36 damage over 12 sec.
    [IV: Deals 48 damage over 16 sec.]
  • Living Flame (Red): Send a flickering flame towards your target, dealing (200% of Spell power) Fire damage to an enemy or healing an ally for (275% of Spell power).

Preservation Evoker Healing Abilities

  • Emerald Blossom (Green): Consumes 3 Essence. Grow a bulb from the Emerald Dream at an ally's location. After 2 sec, heal up to 3 injured allies within 10 yds for (250% of Spell power). Rank 2: Emerald Blossom costs 2 Essence, but no longer has a cooldown.
  • Echo (Bronze): Consumes 2 Essence. Wrap an ally with temporal energy, healing them for (200% of Spell power) and causing your next non-Echo single-target healing spell to cast an additional time on that ally at 70% of normal healing. PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Reversion: Reverse an ally's injuries, healing them for 36 over 12 sec. When Reversion critically heals, the duration counts up by 2 sec. 9 sec cooldown PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Dream Breath (Green): Inhale, gathering the power of the Dream. Release to exhale, healing 5 injured allies in a 30 yd cone in front of you. 25 sec cooldown
    I: Heals for [2 * (185% of Spell power)] and incurs a 25 sec cooldown.
    II: Heals for [2.25 * (185% of Spell power)] and incurs a 20 sec cooldown.
    III: Heals for [2.5 * (185% of Spell power)] and incurs a 15 sec cooldown.
    [IV: Heals for [2.75 * (185% of Spell power)] and incurs a 10 sec cooldown.]
    PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Rewind (Bronze): Rewind 50% of damage taken in the last 5 seconds by all allies within 40 yds. Always heals for at least 16. Healing increased by 100% when not in a raid. PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Spiritbloom (Green): Divert spiritual energy, healing an ally for (565% of Spell power). Splits to injured allies within 25 yards when empowered. 30 sec cooldown
    I: Heals one ally.
    II: Heals a second ally.
    III: Heals a third ally.
    [IV: Heals a fourth ally.] PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Rescue (Green): Fly to an ally and heal them for (430% of Spell power). 18 sec cooldown. CLASS TALENT
  • Temporal Anomaly (Bronze): Send forward a vortex of temporal energy, healing 3 injured allies within 15 yards every 1 sec for (65% of Spell power). Lasts 8 sec. 6 sec cooldown PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Dream Flight (Green): Take in a deep breath and fly to the targeted location, healing all allies in your path for (400% of Spell power) immediately, and 25 over 15 sec. 1 min cooldown PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Stasis (Bronze): Causes your next 3 helpful spells to be duplicated and stored in a time lock. You may reactivate Stasis any time within 30 sec to quickly unleash their magic. 1.5 min cooldown PRESERVATION TALENT

Preservation Evoker Utility Abilities

  • Blessing of the Bronze (Bronze): Weave the threads of time, reducing the cooldown of the a major movement ability for all party and raid members by 15% for 1 hour. 15 sec cooldown
  • Time Dilation (Bronze): Stretch time around an ally for the next 8 sec, causing 50% of damage they would take to instead be dealt over 8 sec. 1 min cooldown PRESERVATION TALENT
  • Zephyr: Conjure an updraft to lift your party members within 25 yds into the air, reducing damage taken from area-of-effect attacks by 20% and increasing movement speed by 30% for 8 sec. CLASS TALENT
  • Source of Magic (Blue): Redirect your excess magic to a friendly healer for 30 min. When you cast an empowered spell, you restore 0.5% of their maximum mana per empower level. Limit 1. CLASS TALENT
  • Time Spiral (Bronze): Bend time, allowing you and your allies to cast their major movement ability once in the next 10 sec, even if it is on cooldown. 2 min cooldown. CLASS TALENT
  • Fly With Me: Swoop to an ally and fly with them to the target location. CLASS TALENT
  • Sleep Walk (Green): Incapacitate an enemy for 20 sec, causing them to sleep walk towards you. Damage has a chance to awaken them. 15 sec cooldown CLASS TALENT
  • Oppressing Roar (Black): Let out a bone-shaking roar at enemies in a cone in front of you, increasing the duration of crowd controls that affect them by 50% in the next 10 sec. CLASS TALENT
    • Notable Class Talent - Overawe: Oppressing Roar removes 1 Enrage effect from each enemy, and its cooldown is reduced by 20 sec for each Enrage dispelled.
  • Landslide (Black): Conjure a path of shifting stone towards the target location, rooting enemies for 30 sec. Damage may cancel the effect. CLASS TALENT
  • Tail Swipe: Lash our with your tail, knocking enemies within 6 yds into the air. 1.5 min cooldown. RACIAL ABILITY
  • Wing Buffet: With a powerful flap of your wings, knock away enemies in front of you. 1.5 min cooldown. RACIAL ABILITY
  • Hover: Launch yourself and gain 30% increased movement speed for 6 sec. Allows Evoker spells to be cast while moving. Does not affect empowered spells. 35 sec recharge.
  • Tip the Scales (Bronze): Compress time to make your next empowered spell cast instantly at its maximum empower level. 2 min cooldown CLASS TALENT
  • Glide: Reduces your falling speed. You can activate this ability with the jump key while falling. RACIAL ABILITY
  • Obsidian Scales (Black): Reinforce your scales, increasing your armor by 200% and reducing magic damage taken by 20%. Lasts 12 sec. Immune to interrupt and silence effects. CLASS TALENT
  • Renewing Blaze (Red): The flames of life surround you for 8 sec, healing you over 14 sec for 100% of damage taken. CLASS TALENT
  • Naturalize (Green): Cleanses harmful effects from the target, removing all Magic and Poison effects.
  • Cauterizing Flame (Red): Cauterize an ally's wounds, removing all Bleed, Poison, Curse, and Disease effects. Heals for (350% of Spell power) upon removing any effect. 1 min cooldown. CLASS TALENT
  • Quell: Interrupt an enemy's spellcasting and preventing any spell from that school of magic from being cast for 4 sec. 40 sec cooldown, 25 yd range. CLASS TALENT
  • Return (Bronze): Brings a dead party member back to life with 35% health and mana. Cannot be cast when in combat.
  • Mass Return: Brings all dead party members back to life with 35% health and mana. Cannot be cast when in combat.
  • Soar: Muster your strength and launch into the air. Increases flight speed by up to 950%. Cooldown begins when you land. Only available while outdoors. Not available in dungeons and raids. RACIAL ABILITY
  • Visage: Switch between your Dracthyr and Visage forms. Your Visage puts your party at ease, significantly increasing out of combat health regeneration. RACIAL ABILITY
  • Discerning Eye (NYI): Increases your Perception by 50. Perception increases the radius of tracking Mining and Herbalism nodes, and the chance of finding additional rare materials when gathering. RACIAL ABILITY
  • Familiar Skies (NYI): You fly 20% faster on continents that you have fully explored. RACIAL ABILITY
  • Principles of Soaring: While Soaring through the air, pointing yourself toward any given direction sends you in that direction. Pointing yourself downward grants more momentum. Evening out can transfer that momentum forward. Pointing yourself upward slows you down. When at your slowest, you will start to fall slowly toward the ground, forward and down. You also gain access to the following abilities: RACIAL ABILITY
    • Surge Forward: Flap forward a short distance, gaining speed.
    • Skyward Ascent: Flap upward, gaining height at the cost of some momentum.
