Will Sifu be on PS4?

Sifu has been a shining beacon for PlayStation's Indie movement as the PS5 launched back in 2020. Unfortunately, multiple delays have meant that the game has been pushed all the way to February 2022.

The good news? That's right around the corner! We know the game is still set to release on PS5 and PC, but a bigger question is that with the delays, has the PS4 edition of the game suffered a cancellation or is it still set to release at the same time?

Is Sifu coming to PS4?

Thankfully, the PS4 version of Sifu is still set to release on Tuesday, 8 February 2022. This will be in conjunction with the PS5 and PC versions of the game. We're hoping there will be no further delays this close to launch!

While there have been multiple delays, none of these has been down to issues with the PS4 version of the game but rather just general development and timing problems. That being said, the game has still been shown off multiple times at State of Play events and even over the E3 week, impressing each and every time.

It's always difficult when a great looking game gets delayed but ever since the issues that plagued CyberPunk 2077, developers have been brutally honest when needing more time. It's much easier to take extra time and perfect the little things than releasing a bad game and having to rebuild the studio's entire reputation.

CD Projekt Red has managed to survive this purely down to their reputation prior to CyberPunk 2077's release and the sheer amount of money the studio still made off the game despite refunds. Sifu developers Slocap found success with their first title Absolver but it wouldn't be enough to save them if Sifu became a reputational bomb (we're sure it won't be).
