When does Apex Legends' Season 10 Ranked Split 2 actually start?

Are you an Apex Predator? Well... There's still time to find out. Apex Legends' Ranked Split 2 is due to start soon and we have everything you need to know about when this is specifically and what to expect in the second half of Season 10's Ranked season.

WHEN does Ranked Split 2 start?

Ranked Split 1 is due to end on September 28th at the following times:

  • 09:30 PST
  • 12:30 EST
  • 16:30 BST

Following this, there's going to be around 30 minutes of "downtime" where Ranked Queues will be disabled in Apex Legends' BR. This doesn't affect Apex Legends' Ranked Arenas, though - so, don't worry if that's all you play.

After the "downtime", Ranked Split 2 is due to start on September 28th at the following times:

  • 11:00 PST
  • 14:00 EST
  • 18:00 BST

This is a little later than initially expected, due to server issues last week - however, we don't know how this will affect the length of Ranked Split 2 just yet. It might be a little shorter than previous seasons in an effort to keep on schedule.

WHAT is going to change?

Primarily, the map is going to change. Apex Legends' Season 10 is going to have Ranked Split 2 take place on Kings Canyon.

However, this isn't all.

In an effort to keep things fresh and incentivise players to continue the grind until the end of Season 10's Ranked period, Respawn Entertainment is going to "soft reset" everyone's rank during the "downtime" between Ranked Split 1 and Ranked Split 2.

What does this mean, though? Well, it means that everyone is going to be set back by 1.5 Ranked Tiers. So, if you're headed into the end of Ranked Split 1 on Gold I, you'll start Ranked Split 2 as Silver III.

This is, of course, less than ideal, but it's a good way of keeping everyone on their toes and might give you a chance to break through to the next Rank early in the next Ranked Split if you're struggling. It's an important shake-up that
