When does the Season 13 League of Legends ranked season start?
According to one of League of Legends' main designers, Riot Phlox, the Season 13 League of Legends ranked season starts on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, taking part in the season's first patch, LoL 13.1.
It'll be a new-look ranked system, as the feature has received some updates. Instead of just having one ranked reset, it'll have two. Players who reach a certain rank will be awarded two skins instead of one every season.
If a player reaches Gold in one season but fails to reach it once again the following, they will still receive a skin for climbing to Gold at least once every season. Essentially, if a player fails to make Gold but played enough games, they will still receive a skin.
Additionally, the ranked system's points distributions has also received changes. Wins will be giving players more points than usual while losses will be taking away less.
There's no confirmation on how long the Season 13 League of Legends ranked season will last or when the second season will begin. More details will be revealed by Riot at a later date.
