PlayStation Plus is set to change in a few major ways later this year. As well as splitting the service up into tiers and offering time-limited trials, it comes with a catalogue of games to play. Here's what comes with PlayStation Plus Extra.
What Games Come With PlayStation Plus Extra?
As of right now, there are hundreds of games planned to arrive on PlayStation Plus Extra. This being said, we only know a few so far. It seems likely that we will get a roster of games similar to what we have with PS Now.
The new PlayStation Plus programme is a concerted effort to combine the two services so it makes sense to assimilate PS Now's catalogue into the service
So far, the games we know are coming to the service are:
- Death Stranding
- God of War
- Marvel’s Spider-Man
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Returnal
Although we know new exclusives won't come to the service on day one, it does seem likely that exclusives will come to it after some time.
What are the PlayStation Plus Tiers?
There are a handful of central tiers you can avail of, depending on what you're looking for. They are:
- PlayStation Plus Essential
- PlayStation Plus Extra
- PlayStation Plus Premium
PlayStation Plus Essential is similar to what we would consider PS Plus now. It comes with monthly games, discounts, cloud storage and online multiplayer access.
PlayStation Plus Extra includes all of the above alongside up to 400 PS4 and PS5 games that can be downloaded and played.
PlayStation Plus Premium is the most expensive tier. It comes with all of the previous tiers' bonuses plus 340 games from the PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3 eras. It also comes alongside time-limited trials to some games. It is unsure how this works so we will find out closer to its release in June.
