Sledgehammer Games' first major content drop for Call of Duty Vanguard is on the way and there's one weapon coming to Vanguard in Season One and Warzone in the Pacific update that has everyone excited to unlock - the PTRS-41 Sniper Rifle.
Originally appearing as an Anti-Tank rifle, this Sniper Rifle is hard-hitting and a fan-favourite weapon of the era. It showed up in Call of Duty World at War and WWII - now, it's coming to Vanguard. Here's everything you need to know about how you can unlock it and when it's due to arrive.
PTRS-41 SNIPER RIFLE - Everything we know
At the moment, details are sparse on the PTRS-41's appearance in Call of Duty Vanguard. We don't have confirmation that it's going to be released in Vanguard Season One - however, there is a lot of corroborating evidence pointing towards this.
One example is the post below - although, a lot of data miners and leakers have been sharing similar content over the last few weeks.
Something resembling the PTRS-41 can also be spotted in the leaked Vanguard Season One key art.
If you want to unlock the PTRS-41, though, chances are it's going to be a free Battle Pass reward available at Tier 15 or Tier 30 - this is when Call of Duty usually introduces new weapons and we don't think Sledgehammer Games are going to shake up the formula too much.
It could also pop up as an in-game challenge related to Sniper Rifles - only time will tell.
As always, these weapons will also be unlockable by acquiring a Weapon Blueprint from a bundle in the Call of Duty store. Expect to learn more from Call of Duty's official social media accounts soon.
When are we expecting this weapon to come out?
The PTRS-41 Sniper Rifle should be released alongside Vanguard Season One and the Warzone Pacific update on December 8th. This was pushed back a week following an unexplained delay.
Caldera, the new Warzone map, is then going to be playable on December 9th. If you're looking to jump in early though, we have everything you need to know about Early Access here.
