Call of Duty's Festive Fervor Event is bringing the fright this holiday season and there's a lot of content coming to Vanguard's Multiplayer mode for the duration of this seasonal event. One thing you might be confused by, though, is the role Elf Team Six and Krampus are playing in all of this.
Here's everything we know about Elf Team Six, and what they're up to, and why Krampus is roaming Vanguard's Multiplayer lobbies looking for his next victim.
Elf Team Six - An elite force with epic rewards
Elf Team Six aren't limiting themselves to Armageddon Mode - the new limited-time mode that's going to be available for the duration of the Festive Fervor Event.
Outside of this mode, you'll be able to find hidden Elf Team Six members across all of Vanguard's Multiplayer Maps. If you take one down, you're going to be offered a "small gift that could give your enemies something far worse than coal in their stockings."
" Hidden around Vanguard’s Multiplayer maps, Elf Team Six are ready to roast Operators like chestnuts on an open fire if they aren’t found before they disappear."
At the moment, we're under the impression that this is a reference to killstreaks - however, we're also expecting finding these pesky elves to be a part of the Festive Fervour Event Challenges for Vanguard.
They should make a bit of noise, so finding them isn't going to be the issue. Taking them out without getting yourself killed in the process might be, depending on the map.
Krampus - The big bad of the holiday season
Elf Team Six aren't the only new thing to find in Vanguard's Multiplayer modes, though. Krampus is on the hunt for his next victim - if you're on the Naughty List, he'll make sure you're publically humiliated with a Finishing Move.
" The folk horror figure Krampus is coming to Vanguard, appearing during Multiplayer matches and targeting whoever has the least impressive objective score, such as a pathetic Hardpoint time or a disgracefully low number of Domination captures."
Krampus is going to chase after anyone who needs to take things up a notch in Vanguard Multiplayer. Camping in Team Deathmatch, avoiding the zone in Patrol... These are all things that will get you on his radar. At the moment, we don't know exactly what Krampus is going to look like - but we don't think you'll be able to miss him.
