Episode 7 introduced a new Battle Pass, an exciting game mode, and a new agent. So far, fans have loved the new episode, with many saying it's the best Valorant episode ever.
This is also the last Valorant episode to be released in 2023. However, two more acts of Episode 7 will still take place this year. Riot Games developers are working hard to deliver even more spectacular content until the end of the year.
So, without further ado, let's take a look at Valorant Episode 7 Act 1.
Valorant 7.0 Patch Notes
A new patch arrived at Valorant, at the same time that Episode 7 Act 1 went live.
Patch 7.0 brought a lot of new content to Valorant, such as a new game mode, agent, skinline, progression system, and more. So, let's check it out!
Team Deathmatch is the game mode that was added. It's a 5v5 mode, where players battle each other during four timed stages, with the first team to reach 100 kills winning.
A new sentinel agent called Deadlock also arrived at Valorant. This agent has a unique skill set and has taken over ranked play since the beginning of the Act.
The fantastic Neo Frontier Bundle also came in this patch. It's a unique skinline that is inspired by the Western genre.
It brought some "space westerns" looking skins that players love, and the bundle is already regarded as one of the best of all time.
Patch 7.0 also introduces the highly anticipated Progression System. This new system allows players to earn daily rewards. It also introduced a new currency called Kingdom Credits, and many other things. You can read more about the Progression System at the bottom of this article.
This new patch also addressed plenty of minor bugs that were affecting the gameplay. However, there wasn't any major gameplay change, with no agent being nerfed or buffed.
Release date
Valorant Episode 7 went live on 27 June.
Usually, new episodes go live one day after the Battle Pass ends. Episode 7 was no different and continued that tradition.
Since the Episode 6 Act 3 Battle Pass ended on 26 June, Episode 7 launched the next day and gave Valorant fans plenty of new content.
Valorant Episode 7 Battle Pass
The Episode 7 Battle Pass has also finally arrived at Valorant.
Similar to the previous Battle Passes, it brought three unique skinlines, that have four colour variants.
The first one is the Digihex skin, which includes an Ares, Bulldog, Ghost, and Judge skin.
Then, we have the Composite skinline, which is arguably the best one of this Battle Pass. It has one Marshall, Phantom, Sheriff, Stinger, and Melee skin. All of these skins look great and have a futuristic look.
We also have the Blush skinline, which contains one skin for the Spectre, Frenzy, Guardian, and Operator.
Furthermore, this Battle Pass also has a plethora of unique gunbuddies, sprays and player cards.
Just like all the other previous Battle Passes, this one costs 1000 Valorant Points.
Valorant Team Deathmatch
Team Deathmatch is the newest Valorant game mode, and it went live at the start of Episode 7.
This game mode is different from the traditional Deathmatch. It incorporates elements from other game modes such as Spike Rush, and Swiftplay, making it unique.
The game mode consists of two teams of five players facing off to see who reaches 100 kills first.
It has a duration of 9 minutes and 30 seconds. If no team reaches 100 kills before the time expires, then the team with the most kills will come out victorious.
When both teams end with the same number of kills, the match ends in a draw. Every player wins 1K XP per match.

This new Progression System gives players a new way of unlocking agents, agent gear, and accessories. It also expands the rewards system, allowing players the opportunity of earning plenty of more free rewards.
It introduced the accessories store, and a new currency called Kingdom Credits. The accessories store allows players to acquire accessories from past Battlepasses.
As for the Kingdom Credits, they can be used to unlock agents or buy Playercards, Gunbuddies, and Sprays, from the accessories store.
