One of Destiny 2's premiere PvP events, Trials of Osiris, is taking a backset thanks to the 4.1.0 update and the forthcoming Season of the Haunted.
However, thanks to this, the high-intensity PvP action will not only come back in just a few weeks, but it'll be a new and improved version of itself.
With that in mind, here's everything you need to know about the Trials of Osiris return date, the changes they've undergone, and more.
Trials of Osiris Return Date
Due to Destiny 2 4.1.0's release and the start of Season of the Haunted, the Trials of Osiris have been postponed for three weeks.
The Trials of Osiris will return to Destiny 2 on Friday, June 10, 2022, and will last until Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
Trials of Osiris Changes
As one of Destiny 2's marquee events that brings on all types of PvP-centric action, Trials of Osiris pits players against each other with the goal of putting together win streaks for some awesome rewards.
As always, it has rotating maps and rewards, which means that players won't know what map or mode they will be playing until the event goes live in-game. Additionally, it's a limited-time event, so players will only be able to participate in it for a certain period of time, and there are also additional options like Freelance mode that aren't available every week.
Thanks to the 4.1.0 update, the Trials of Osiris we'll see in the Season of the Haunted come with some changes.
This season Trials of Osiris will feature seven maps in the rotation, with one of them being decided via player vote. To add to that, Capture Zone and Freelance weekends will continue, and there will be some Adept reward changes including new loot such as a new Fusion RIfle and new Sidearm.
To cap it off, we will also see some awesome new cosmetic rewards.
New Trials of Osiris Cosmetic Rewards
Coming new with the Trials of Osiris changes will be a set of cosmetics that includes new armor, a Ghost, and a Sparrow.
The new armor will lean heavily into the Trials aesthetic, according to Bungie, and similar to other Trials gear in the past, it will mix in Egyptian fashion with gold. There will also be a Trials-themed Ghost to match.
Lastly, players will also be able to ride a shiny new vehicle into battle, the Falcon's Chase Sparrow. So not only will they have new fancy gear to show off as they defeat their enemies but they will be able to get to their PvP destination in style as well.
