The Sims 5 to be revealed in June 2021

The Sims has consistently remained one of the top games in the world for the last 20 years, attracting millions of players to build their dream home and family.

Now that The Sims 4 has been out for a few years, attention is now focused on The Sims 5 and when that may be releasing.

According to a "leaker" on 4Chan, the game could be revealed sooner rather than later.

The Sims 5 Could Be Revealed During E3 Weekend

E3 2021 will take place in June 2021, between Saturday, June 12th and Tuesday, June 15th.

During the event, we will see many of the worlds top studios and publishers reveal what games to expect over the coming year and beyond.

It has been said that both EA and Sony won't be participating in E3, but we can still expect to see both companies produce their own events where they will showcase their upcoming titles.

Rumours suggest this could take place on June 14th and according to a 4Chan leaker, this could be when The Sims 5 is released.

Posted on Reddit, a user broke down what the 4Chan leaker claims will be revealed during the event.

  • EA Play Live 2021 is set to be released on June 14 at 11am EDT/8am PDT/4pm BST.
  • The Sims 5 (Maxis): Teaser trailer, developer interview; Spring 2022 (PC)
  • Apex Legends (Respawn): Season 9 trailer, developer video (PC/PS4/Switch/XB1)
  • Knockout City (Velan Studios/EA Originals) Season 1 trailer (PC/PS4/Switch/XB1)
  • Frostbite (4th gen) engine trailer; States that all games from that part on in the show are “powered by Frostbite”.
  • Miss Universe: The Official Game (Tiburon/Motive): Development diary with early game footage; Spring 2022 (PC/PS4/PS5/XB1/XSX)
  • Madden NFL 22 (Tiburon): Gameplay trailer, developer interview; August 2021 (PC/PS4/PS5/XB1/XSX)
  • Kaitlyn’s Journey (Heavy Iron Studios/EA Originals) Teaser trailer, full trailer at Xbox E3 2021 Briefing, will be the first EA Originals title run on Frostbite. Episodic release, Episode 1 on November 2 (PC/PS4/PS5/Switch/XB1/XSX)
  • FIFA 22 (EA Vancouver): Gameplay trailer, developer interview; October 2021 (PC/PS4/PS5/XB1/XSX)
  • Battlefield 6 (DICE) Gameplay trailer, developer interview; November 19, 2021 (PC/PS4/PS5/XB1/XSX)
  • Skate (Full Circle) Teaser trailer; “coming when it’s ready” (PC/PS5/XSX)

Assuming the leaker is correct, The Sims 5 will be revealed with a teaser trailer and developer interview, with the game releasing in Spring 2022, so likely around one year from now.

Of course, with any leaks, we have to take them with a grain of salt.

But with it being so long since the release of The Sims 5, if EA do hold an event during E3 then it is extremely likely that we could see the reveal of The Sims 5.
