Cottage Living is finally here, after months of build up and plenty of teases.

Cottage Living Reveal & Release Date
At long last, we know what our Sims are going to be getting up to over the Summer. Cottage Living celebrates the rural lifestyle in all forms. There's babbling brooks to swim in, fireplaces to curl up in front of, vegetables to water and chickens to feed. It looks like it's going to be one of the best updates The Sims 4 has seen in a long time.
You can check out the teaser trailer for The Sims 4's Cottage Living Expansion Pack below:
As you can see, the Expansion Pack release on July 22nd. This is the same day as EA's coveted EA Play event. Coincidence?
New Features & Activities
In a similar fashion to The Sims 4's Snowy Escape, Eco Living, or Island Living, Cottage Living is one of the larger DLCs for the game. It plans to "take your game and your Sims on new adventures" and Cottage Living definitely looks like it's going to do that.
There's going to be a new selection of animals you can choose to raise or befriend.
" Cows provide fresh (flavored!) milk while chickens lay eggs in the coop. In the forest, look out for wild rabbits, foxes, and birds. Earn their trust for occasional gifts and help in the garden."
You'll also need to grow your own produce, forage for food, or check out the local Village Market for the latest crops.
" Lot Challenges require fresh ingredients for each meal. Grow produce yourself, visit the village market, or forage in the wild to get them. Enter any oversize crops in the Finchwick Fair competition!"
Henford-on-Bagley, by all accounts, is a wonderfully quaint place to settle down.
" Henford-on-Bagley is a cozy place where everyone knows everyone. Head down to the pub with your cross-stitching and picnic basket to meet locals and learn about the town’s lore."
Building Items & Clothes
Of course, all these new features and this new lifestyle comes with a few bonuses. We don't know the full ins and outs of what's coming to The Sims 4 in the Cottage Living Expansion pack, but you can just look at the images we've seen to know that there's going to be quite a lot of new content.
If you're planning on moving into a nice cottage, you need the right clutter, right? The Sims 4: Cottage Living is going to introduce a few more knick-knacks you can place around your home and additional exterior decorations to help you feel right at home in the rural town of Henford-on-Bagley.
In addition to this, we're expecting an expansion of The Sims 4's wardrobe too. Flat-caps and Sweaters look to be the style of The Sims 4: Cottage Living and we can't wait to see how EA is going to maximise this vibe through their life sim title.
