Shopify Rebellion Signs Luminosity Gaming Old Roster for Valorant

June made many Valorant fans sad as Luminosity pulled their competitive roster from the esports scene. An unexpected decision shook the Valorant esports industry. However, Luminosity lost out as the team has been scooped back up by Shopify Rebellion.

It is unclear why Luminosity decided to step away from the Valorant scene, but they promised to find a new home for their roster. And that is what has happened.

Shopify Rebellion roster's debut performance

With the ex-Luminosity roster having a tough start in the esports scene, their new company is supporting them to be their best. They will undergo training until their debut at the upcoming North America Last Chance Qualifiers. This tournament will give them a chance to make it to this year's Valorant Champions.

With Shopify dedicating time to this team who have had a rough start, it shows that they want to grow as a team. With a new Valorant head coach, perhaps the roster has a much better chance at success.

The current roster consists of:

  • Kaleb “moose” Jayne
  • Will “dazzle” Loafman
  • Tanner “TiGG” SPanu
  • Adam “mada” Pampuch
  • Brandon “bdog” Michael Sanders
  • Jared “mac” Schneider

Shopify is also partnering with Riot in the competitive esports circuit in 2023 which shows a long-term commitment to the company. Likewise with Valorant too.

The team's future

Signing with Shopify could not have come at a better time. Due to the swap over of companies, the team are still able to compete in the VCT to show what they're made of.

They are currently sharing the 5th spot with Cloud9 in the overall VCT NA Circuit Point standings. Definitely a prestigious spot to share with such an iconic esports company and a great way to start their working relationships.

In conclusion, with a new company supporting them, who knows where Shopify will end up.
