Sea of Thieves Season 4 is right the corner and has a lot to live up to. Season 3 brought some amazing content like the Disney and Borderlands crossover events.
Here's everything we know so far about the new content thanks to its new trailer!
Release Date
Sea of Thieves Season 4 begins on September 23rd, 2021. We can expect the update to arrive on this day and there may be some server downtime too. The season should last for around three months.
Sea of Thieves Season 4 hype is starting early thanks to this awesome new trailer from Rare, and it's only going to get more exciting as more is revealed!
What to Expect
Season 3 was big for Sea of Thieves, introducing an era of collaborations including the emblematic Jack Sparrow and Friends, from the Disney franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean.
This was followed by the Making Mayhem event, a crossover with Borderlands that brought the explosive nature of the award-winning gaming franchise to the chaotic pirate world.
With this precedent, we can expect Season 4 of Season of Thieves to keep with the good work and possibly feature even bigger crossovers.
Even without new crossover content, expect Season 4 to bring some awesome new adventures, expanding the world around players and even featuring some nice quality of life improvements.
Ship Cosmetics
Sea of Thieves is all about personalization, especially as the only real outlet for your gold and plunder.
Based on the colorful ships and items from the trailer, we can expect some fantastic new customization options for your ship and pirate alike.
Adventures Under the Sea
Sea of Thieves Season 4 is taking the action underwater. Where our crew will have to bring back to the surface the treasures of an ancient civilization.
Maybe we are on the gates to discover the mysterious Lost City of El Dorado!
New Sea Creatures
In the last days circulated on the internet are images of some leaked artwork, including Whales and Manta Rays.
While these remain unconfirmed rumors, new sea creatures would be a great way to liven up Sea of Thieves.
In addition, players can expect a new Plunder Pass, new Events, and most likely some more Tall Tales to complete with friends.
