Resident Evil Village is here after a four-year wait, continuing the story of Ethan Winters and Mia.
So far, fans and critics have been really enjoying the game, with the game currently scoring 84/100 on Metacritic.
But, will Resident Evil Village see DLC added to the game in the future?
Will Resident Evil Village Have DLC?
Resident Evil 7 had a Season Pass, which granted players access to multiple pieces of DLC content.
The Resident Evil 7 Season Pass includes the following items;
- End Of Zoe
- Banned Footage Vol. 1
- Banned Footage Vol. 2
One thing to note is that the Season Pass for Resident Evil 7 was known about ahead of the game's official release on January 24th 2017, with the Season Pass being announced on January 16th.
While Capcom could announce future DLC for Resident Evil Village, especially after the success that the game has seen so far in its first few days of release, based on the previous entry in the series, we would likely know of the DLC's existence already.
The last released Resident Evil game, Resident Evil 3 Remake, came with a spin-off multiplayer game called Resident Evil: Resistance.
Resident Evil 3 Remake didn't include any story-based DLC.
Village will also come with Resident Evil: ReVerse, which has been delayed and will be released later.
So it is possible that Capcom will instead focus on supporting this new multiplayer title rather than create new story content for Resident Evil Village.
