With the huge launch of Resident Evil Village behind us last month, Capcom have so much to look forward to in the future.
Resident Evil is constantly being worked on and the warm reception Village received is surely a good sign for where the franchise is heading in the future.
Luckily, at E3 2021, Capcom have decided to show up with their own show. Here's what they may announce for Resident Evil Village this year.
Resident Evil Village
Now, with its central story behind many players, it's time to look forward to the future of the game. Perhaps we could see some further updates to the game or even a DLC
The Next DLC could take place in the future or maybe even the past, perhaps explaining the time difference between VII and VIII or some of Mia's story. There are so many places it could go, we'll have to wait to find out what they do.
The Next Resident Evil Game
Although DLC is interesting, the ninth entry to the series is even more interesting. This being said, it's likely far too early to talk about that.
They could still tease something through some extra lore or information on a new movie. We don't know where IX will go next but we could get a little hint.
Resident Evil 4 VR
Now it's time for something we do have confirmation of, Resident Evil 4 in VR. This was announced a few months ago but we still don't have an official release date.
If we're lucky, we could receieve a release date tonight. If we're even more lucky, we could see a surprise launch of the game during the conference, a great way to end the showcase.
Something Entirely New
Resident Evil is well-known for branching in weird new directions. We could see them go into a strange genre like RPG or RTS or maybe even head to the XCOM style (please).
If they do none of this, they might do something we weren't even expecting. Things are about to get weird.
