PES 2020 announced: Messi, Ronaldinho & Iniesta show off new gameplay, Master League & Matchday

It's the year of PES. After a troublesome year for their biggest football game rival EA Sports FIFA, it is a huge opportunity for Pro Evolution Soccer to hit back. It's been a fantastic start for the Konami brand, with their relationship with Spanish giants Barcelona renewed, with star man Lionel Messi gracing the front cover of the game.

Messi is not the only Barcelona legend involved, with Ronaldinho gracing the cover for the Legends Edition of the game and Andres Iniesta contributing as an official Gameplay Advisor.

A whole host of gameplay changes have been revealed thus far, with the popular mode Master League being overhauled, and a brand new feature arriving in the form of Matchday. This is an online mode in which you compete in a weekly objective representing a particular side, and go on to represent that team in a streamed Grand Final at the end of the week.
