Blizzard has made some pretty big adjustments to the skin pricing in Overwatch 2.
This came after many discussions in the community geared towards the crazy prices of skins.
Blizzard's brand new business model made Overwatch 2 free-to-play. However, it has meant that cosmetics are way overpriced to cover this.
So, for players to earn these skins, they must pay upwards of $20 just for one skin.
We can see why players aren't happy with this choice.
So, let's take a look at what changes Blizzard has made to the skin pricing in Overwatch 2.

Blizzard Adjusting Skin Prices in Overwatch 2
Skins from Overwatch have had their prices increased with the release of the sequel.
Overwatch coins from the first game were carried over and converted to Legacy Points which can be used to purchase cosmetics.
Blizzard has noticed discussion in the community and has given players a slight price reduction in the store to ease this.
Additionally, the new Reinhardt Prideful skin costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins, or about $10.
However, legacy credits cannot be used for any other skin besides base skins. Seasonal skins are not included.
Why is the Community Unhappy?
These changes mean that seasonal content can only be purchased with premium currency.
So, this makes cosmetic goods very expensive to obtain, and with some flat reactions to recent skins?
This feels like a slap in the face.
Additionally, there is currently no way for players to earn legacy credits in-game.
Many fans are begging Blizzard to add these to the battle pass for players to access there.
Blizzard's monetisation model very much feels like a work in process rather than a finished piece.
Considering the game was released more than a month ago, this feels like too little too late.
