New Ghost of Tsushima update important for accessibility options in-game

Ghost of Tsushima Legends is on the brink of its standalone release and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut has been out a little while now to high praise. Jin Sakai's journey has never looked better, really. However, the latest title update - Ghost of Tsushima Patch 2.08 - has made a few important changes. Here's everything we know so far...

When is Patch 2.08 actually out?

Ghost of Tsushima Patch 2.08 is actually already out - It was released on September 2nd. This is just the day before Ghost of Tsushima Legends is due to be released as a standalone experience and we can imagine a lot of the tweaks being made to Ghost of Tsushima's co-operative multiplayer mode are being made in preparation for the new content that's due to arrive.

Expect another Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut update on September 3rd, though - This should contain things like Raids for Ghost of Tsushima Legends and introduce the Gear Mastery System.

What changes does it make?

Sucker Punch Productions' newest Ghost of Tsushima update has made the following major changes alongside a number of unseen tweaks and alterations:

  • Improved loading time for viewing cosmetics menus on PS5;
  • Restores colour button prompts - for things like Bamboo Strikes;

Sucker Punch Productions hasn't actually shared their complete patch notes for Ghost of Tsushima Patch 2.08 - However, you can look at the patch notes for Patch 2.07 below to get a sense of the scale of the changes...

  • Restored missing Fundoshi for some New Game+ players who had lost access to it.
    • Addressed an issue where replayed missions would not grant the proper rewards until the game was reloaded.
    • Addressed an issue where some supply boxes could be restocked upon checkpoint reload.
    • Addressed an issue where giving the hut builder supplies then skipping the cutscene would still take the supplies but not complete the objective.
    • Addressed an issue where players were not able to join in-progress Legends Survival matches via matchmaking.
    • Reduced the length of haptic feedback when fast traveling
    • Addressed some issues related to Activity Cards.
    • Addressed an issue with Legends leaderboards visibility.
    • Various UI improvements, bug and crash fixes.
