MultiVersus is coming back on 28 May 2024, and players can't wait to be able to play the highly acclaimed fighting game once again.

With many iconic characters and a new PvE mode, MultiVersus promises to return better than ever.

However, many players wonder if the game will maintain the Season system and introduce a Battle Pass once the title launches or if that idea was scrapped after the community's backlash.

A recent blog post outlined much of what we can expect from the first season in MultiVersus and what the first Battle Pass since the game's return will entail.

So far, we still don't know how much the premium battle pass will cost, but we know it will include the recently announced Jason Voorhees, which can be used in the game. On top of that, the battle pass will also include different variants for characters, ringouts, taunts, and more. If you're returning to the game after enjoying the Beta, then the first battle pass will be free if redeemed prior to June 11.

There will also be a greater emphasis on dispensing more of the different currencies available, with plenty of free tiers offering rewards, too - if you have the premium version, it will give you enough to purchase the next battle pass.

How Long Will the Battle Pass Last

Once again, referring to the aforementioned blog post, the first battle pass is set to run for eight weeks, but if you finish it before then, you will still be able to earn some extra rewards while you wait for the second battle pass.

There are four different kinds of currency that can be used in MultiVersus and they will be earned by progressing therough the battle pass. The different currencies, and their uses, are outlined below:

  • Perk currency: Unlocks in-game perks, gained through gameplay and the battle pass
  • Fighter currency: Unlocks characters, gained through gameplay and the battle pass
  • Prestige currency: Unlocks exclusive cosmetics, gained by getting cosmetics
  • Gleamium: Unlocks cosmetics, emotes, battle passes and more, gained in events, the battle pass, or direct purchase

That's all there is to know about the Season One battle pass for now. Once we have more information, we will update this page, and hopefully, a price will arrive soon.
