MLB The Show 23 is receiving a game update and server restart today. This update will address plenty of bugs that were in the game. It will also make some improvements to the immersion and gaming experience of players.
All of the MLB The Show 23 modes will get updates, with the Diamond Dynasty ones being arguably the most important. Worth noting that, there aren't any huge gameplay updates. Most of them are bug fixes or slight improvements to things like lighting, and UI speed.
So, without further ado, let's check out all the changes coming to MLB The Show 23.
MLB The Show 23 Game Update and Server Restart
As mentioned above, MLB The Show 23 is receiving its second game update. The game will also have a server restart at 4 AM PT/12 PM GMT. Because of that, players should complete all the games previously to the server's restart. This will avoid problems, such as losing any progress made on a certain game mode.
There are many problems this update addresses, but there won't be any gameplay changes. Instead, the update focus on fixing plenty of bugs, and improving some UI and interface aspects.
After this new update, two-way players will longer be able to exist as both Pitcher and Position players on the field at the same time. The Rally Monkey Quirk bug was also fixed, so it now shows the correct Quirk icon. MLB The Show 23 game update, also fixed a problem that made the CPU controlled teams use the default Home or Road uniforms, instead of the ones the player had selected.
These four changes are the most important since they affect all game modes. However, each game mode received some specific updates. You can find all about them below.
Diamond Dynasty
The Diamond Dynasty game mode addressed some UI problems and some minor bugs. First, the UI blur that was showing in the Community Market when you would place buy or sell orders was removed. Then, UI speed for the Conquest mode was improved.
Two minor bugs were also fixed. With the update fixing a bug that would show the incorrect team logos and game summaries in Mini Seasons. It also fixed a bug that was preventing players from equipping custom uniforms. WBC moments also have the appropriate team colours and logos displayed.
