Game Updates
MLB The Show 23 is receiving its third game update, which will go live at 4 AM PT/ 12 PM GMT this Friday. This time, there will finally be some gameplay changes.
In the past few weeks, many fans have complained about pitching and perfect inputs. Fans feel they are not being rewarded for throwing great pitches, which is something the developers addressed with this game update.
To fix this problem, developers reduced the frequency of which pitches landed in the PAR, no matter the pitching interface. They cleaned up some of the known instances where pitches could land outside of the PAR, and made some artwork changes to the PAR.
Developers also removed the PAR display that would show up post-pitching. According to them, there is an accuracy penalty that is accounted for within the initial PAR, so they had to make this change.
