MLB The Show 21 is due out in less than a week, and the jump to next gen is bringing the new Stadium Creator.
Players can let their imaginations run wild this year, and previews of Stadium Creator have given us glimpses of everything from spaceships to ballparks inspired by Jurassic Park.
We don't know every prop that will be available in MLB The Show 21 Stadium Creator, but these 10 iconic options are an absolute must for the new game mode.
The Cornfield from Field of Dreams
It doesn't get much more baseball than Field of Dreams, and no Stadium Creator would be complete with the chance for players to recreate the iconic cornfield from Field of Dreams.
This seems like a pretty manageable recreation, so this is probably the most likely option on this list to find its way into Stadium Creator, but that won't make taking your Franchise onto the Field of Dreams any less exciting.
The Mohawk Baseball from the cover of Major League
The 1989 sports comedy known as Major League is still seen as one of the best baseball movies of all time, thanks in part to a cast that included Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, and many others.
If MLB The Show 21 wants to pay homage, Stadium Creator needs to let players plop that unforgettable mohawk-topped baseball in sunglasses from the cover into their ballpark.
The Sandlot & The Beast meet MLB The Show 21
It seems like a no-brainer for MLB The Show 21 to make The Sandlot a creatable field in Stadium Creator, but it needs to come fully equipped.
That means we don't just need the field itself, but players need to be able to create the nearby house with the devastating and terrifying dog The Beast as part of the decor. Imagine playing a Franchise and hitting your home runs so that The Beast has something to play with.
An Enormous Cracker Jack Box
This one might be a bit on the nose, but that doesn't make it any less fun. The classic Cracker Jack line from "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" is so unforgettable that you're probably singing the song in your head as you read this.
Stadium Creator needs to not only give players the option of putting an extra-large Cracker Jack box behind the wall, but MLB The Show 21 should pop that box open and let players try to hit home runs into the box itself.
Official Star Wars Props for May the 4th
Stadium Creator seems ready-made for crossovers with other entertainment franchises, and the most obvious pick would be Star Wars. Spaceships have already been shown in Stadium Creator previews, so why not bring in the most iconic of spaceships?
If Star Wars isn't in Stadium Creator at launch, it would be perfect for MLB The Show 21 to release props like the Millennium Falcon or the Razor Crest for Star Wars Day on May 4, 2021.
AAGPBL statues representing top players and teams
The classic 1992 film A League of Their Own was actually inspired by the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL), and MLB The Show 21 should jump at the opportunity to honor their legacy the same year the 42 Series honors Jackie Robinson.
Whether it's through status of some of the league's most iconic players, or props representing teams like the championship-winning Kalamazoo Lassies, or even their "Do or die!" slogan, the AAGPBL should be a nod in Stadium Creator.
MLB The Show 21 needs Giant Baseball Gloves
Another one that might seem a bit on the nose, but a comically large baseball glove just past the home run wall seems too good to leave out.
Adding these as props in Stadium Creator gives things a fun feel, but it's also a new challenge as players can attempt to hit their home runs right into these giant gloves while still reaping the runs those hits score.
Actual Angels in the Outfield
Paying homage to the classic Angels in the Outfield, whether the 1951 original or the 1994 remake by Disney, is something that is just too perfect to pass up for Stadium Creator.
What's the best way to do that? Literal angels, of course. Stadium Creator should have a variety to pick from representing those seen in the movies, or new designs, so players can have their guardian angels watching out in MLB The Show 21.
Bernie Mac as Mr. 3000
It's hard to believe that Bernie Mac died over a decade ago, but that's because his mark on comedy and film was so massive. That included his role as Mr. 3000.
The 2004 cult classic with Bernie Mac in the titular role is still enjoyed by fans to this day, and it would be fantastic for Stadium Creator to honor Mac's legacy with a statue of his character in Mr. 3000.
Godzilla vs. King Kong vs. Stadium Creator
If we're looking for entertainment crossovers, the recent release of Godzilla vs. King Kong seems like the ideal choice.
This would be perfect for Stadium Creator not just as great background props, but anything like the Akira-inspired Neo-Tokyo aesthetic from Godzilla vs. Kong would make an amazing kind of city to play in, especially at night.
It would definitely be a heck of a backdrop to carry through in Franchise Mode with a team based on the movie itself.
