The Nether update is here for Java Edition Minecraft players!
With it come a few changes to advancements within the game, and some brand new ones to go get.

Changes to advancements
There are a few changes and additions coming to some advancements already in the Java Edition.
- Monster Hunter & Monster Hunted
As you'd expect, Piglins and Hoglins are now required for these advancements.
NEW FRIENDS: And new enemies too
- Stone Age
Obtaining blackstone now also counts toward this advancement.

- The Parrots and the Bats & Two by Two
Breeding Striders now counts for The Parrots and the Bats, while it is required to complete Two by Two.
New advancements
As you'd expect with such a big update, there are plenty of new advancements to go along with all the new content.
- Bullseye
Hit the bullseye of a target block from at least 30 meters away
- Hidden in the Depths
Obtain ancient debris.
- Cover Me in Debris
Obtain full Netherite armor.

- Country Lode, Take Me Home
Use a compass on a lodestone.
- Who is Cutting Onions?
Obtain crying obsidian.
- Note Quite "Nine" Lives
Set a respawn anchor to the maximum.
SUIT UP: You'll be unstoppable in Netherite
- This Boat Has Legs
Ride a Strider with a fungus on a stick
- Hot Tourist Destinations
Visit all biomes in the Nether.
- Those Were the Days
Enter a Bastion
- War Pigs
Loot a chest in a Bastion
- Oh Shiny
Distract an angry Piglin with gold.
