Return to Valoran City is the newest League of Legends cinematic and showcasing the new Star Guardian Event, the trailer is heavily inspired by anime with the stylised animations used. It's giving Your Name and The Girl Who leapt Through Time vibes.
Re-visiting the skin line in 2022 is a brilliant move as many summoners love the style with star guardian skins.
Champions such as Lux, Seraphine, Xayah, Rakan, and Neeko already have their own Star Guardian skins. But the champions with this skin line will soon be updated with a barrage of new skins!

Star Guardian skins release date
The official teaser trailer for the skin line stated that the Star Guardians will make their return on July 14.
This should be around patch 12.13 or 12.14. But due to the number of champions receiving the skin, it will probably stretch over a few patches.
Star Guardian, the first event, also released Invasion. Based in Valoran City where the Star Guardian event also took place, players would fight levels of monsters, which ended in a boss fight. However, there have been no confirmed reports on whether this or another new League of Legends game mode will return with the event.
