Ixtal is one of the League of Legends regions in Runeterra that hasn't had much detail thrown into it. You'd expect that from a city shrouded in mystery and hidden away though.
However, Ryan "Reav3" Mireles has now revealed some information about the new Ixtali Enchanter support in the Preseason 2023 trailer. Hopefully, this will also bring some new lore about the Ixtal region. Additionally, it's looking like stereotypes of roles are being broken too.
So, let's take a look at all the details we have for this new Ixtal enchanter support champion.

The new male Ixtali enchanter support
Stereotypes are being shifted with this new champion. Thinking of enchanter supports will leave many League of Legends players stuck with one image. Lux. Think a little deeper and we're stuck with Soraka, Janna, Sona and other similar champions.
Riot Games are aware of the lack of diversity and are bringing a male enchanter support to the League of Legends. Although he is still currently in early development, things are getting exciting.
A different side to Ixtal
Detailing further on the champion, Ryan stated the differences between the champion and his hometown. Ixtal is a place of lavish wealth and huge castles. Qiyana came from here as the princess of the region.
However, Ryan stated that this champion is 'far from the lavish palaces that Qiyana grew up in'. The meaning of this is uncertain, but it could be referencing a nature-themed enchanter. A new photo was also added of three little energy orbs which could well be a part of the support kit. These cute little characters may work in a similar way to Bard's meeps.
However, there is not much solid news on the champion. All we can do is wait for any updates.
