League of Legends has seen monthly rewards for Prime Gaming members for quite some time now. The capsule is a great way to score some awesome free rewards, and get that last little bit of RP to unlock the skin you've been after.

According to sources though, the relationship could now be ending, which means that the monthly capsules will be no longer. Here's everything you need to know about what's changing, and if we'll see the Prime Gaming drops return.

League of Legends Prime Gaming to End

Prime gaming capsules have been a beloved feature of League for some time now, and they will certainly be missed. No official word has been released from Riot Games, but after the delay of the February capsule, the move is not entirely unexpected.

According to a conversation that YouTube creator Matty Love Gaming had with an Amazon employee, the relationship is coming to an end. The League of Legends collaboration has been running for almost two years.

In this conversation, the employee says the deal was only expected to last until December 2022. The extension of the claim date for the current capsule until Feb. 16 appears to be to ensure that players who have not yet claimed this final capsule do so.

Will Prime Gaming return to Lol?

According to the same employee from Amazon, the two companies are “working to bring more content in the future,”. They were unable to provide any specific details about what could be on the way.

Whether Riot’s other titles, including VALORANT and Legends of Runeterra, will meet similar fates in the near future, remains to be seen. It does seem likely, however, given that the relationship is company-wide.

It's possible that the decision comes after all of Riot's titles, including League of Legends, have become available on Xbox Game Pass, but this is only speculation.
