Call of Duty Vanguard's multiplayer offering is far from bad, but it's still quite limited in options when you compare it to what we saw at the end of Black Ops Cold War's lifetime. This is, of course, expected, but it's still hard not to feel like we should have more options at the moment.
Thankfully, this could be about to change with the upcoming Season One Reloaded update and the possible addition of Gun Game as a featured playlist in Vanguard. Here's the latest on why we think this is coming and when we should see the update drop...
Gun Game is on the way to Vanguard?
As you can see below, it looks like Gun Game has been spotted as an additional tab in the "Game Modes" section of Call of Duty Vanguard's Combat Record. This is the place where your total number of kills in each mode is displayed, for example.
We're assuming this is some sort of error, but it does suggest that we're getting Gun Game soon and the Season One Reloaded update is due any day now. We know it's not much, but it's an important sign of what's to come and it could be the perfect addition ahead of a larger update come Season Two.
When would this actually get added?
Treyarch has confirmed that an update regarding Vanguard Zombies is coming on January 11th - but we're not sure if this is just an update with what we'll see in the future, or whether it's an actual title update. Call of Duty Vanguard's updates usually drop a little later in the week, too - but, of course, they don't have to follow the schedule if they don't want to.
With this in mind, we could see Season One Reloaded released and Gun Game introduced at the following times:
- 21:00 PST - January 10th
- 00:00 EST - January 11th
- 05:00 GMT - January 11th
- OR
- 21:00 PST - January 12th
- 00:00 EST - January 13th
- 05:00 GMT - January 13th
