Age of Empires 4 sets a new standard for real-time strategy and builds upon decades of previous work to create the definitive AoE experience. It might then be considered a little strange that players are asking how they can rotate buildings!
What should be a simple task that was added in the previously remastered AoE 3 would surely make its way into the latest instalment, right? Well, we may have some bad news for you...
Can you Rotate Buildings in Age of Empires 4?
Currently, it's not possible to rotate buildings in Age of Empires 4. The fixed camera perspective can be rotated but individual buildings can not.
You may think this is a major step back but in truth, there is no real need for the feature to be present. Relic and World's Edge have cleverly built each AoE map in a way where the landscape moulds itself to what you build.
Each building also has a square base meaning there's no risk of overlapping and the game simply won't allow it and rotation wouldn't fix the issue. This means that even if you could rotate buildings it would be a purely aesthetic feature to change up the look of your towns.
