Will Hogwarts Legacy be Open World?
Fortunately for fans of the Wizarding World, Hogwarts Legacy will indeed be open World, and fully explorable. The setting for the game will be bigger and more in-depth than anything we've seen before, allowing you to get a real taste of what life at Hogwarts would be like.
You'll be able to freely roam Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, the Forbidden Forest, and the surrounding Overland area. Whether you choose to do this on foot, on the back of a Hippogriff, or simply with your trusty broom, is entirely up to you.
You'll begin your journey by choosing your house, which will shape your journey through Hogwarts as you progress. Even secret locations like the room of requirement are available as you develop your skills.
Is Harry Potter in Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogwarts Legacy takes us back to the 1800s, a time not yet explored in the Wizarding World universe. As such though, our original trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione do not feature in Hogwarts Legacy.
Even though we won't see familiar characters returning, fans will get their fair share of nostalgia kicks from the fully explorable Hogwarts setting. Players will be able to grow their magical abilities by mastering spells, brewing potions, taming magical beasts, and more.
