Halo Infinite: How to Get More Ammo

It's been a problem in Halo campaigns for as long as we can remember, but running out of ammo is something you'll encounter a lot in Halo Infinite, especially if you're not just punching the Grunts to death. If you're lost for what to do, we have what you need to know about how to get more ammo in Halo Infinite for all kinds of weapons.

Depending on the weapon you're using, you'll be after different types of ammo. While some weapons use special ammo, most require either Kinetic or Plasma ammo, with it being pretty clear which is which.

More often than not, plasma weapons are the ones you'll take off enemies and kinetic ones are of Spartan origin, but that's not a hard and fast rule.

How to Get More Ammo in Halo Infinite

Now, you'll find yourself out of ammo a lot while playing Halo Infinite's campaign and supplies aren't plentiful.

While you may get some ammo by running over the dead body of an enemy that was using exactly the same weapon as you, ammo refill spots are what you're going to need to look for first and foremost.

In places scattered across the map and levels, often by armory spots, you'll see little blocks with either neon blue or yellow blocks on top, as you can see in the image below.

The yellow ones are for kinetic ammo and blue is for plasma, and all you need to do is hold square when prompted to fill up whatever ammo type you've chosen. Towards the end of the game, you'll also find ammo spots with Shock, Power, or Hardlight, which are used for certain weapons.

The ammo refill spot will then show as empty and you'll have to return later to use it again.

The only issue is that these ammo spot locations are few and far between, so you'll have to do some hunting to get more ammo in Halo Infinite.

That being said, there is usually one plasma and one kinetic ammo crate in the larger battle areas, where you have to take out lots of enemies. At the end of the day, though, you'll find plenty on Needlers around when you really need some emergency firepower.
