The Battle Rifle is just one of several iconic Halo series weapons that makes a return in Halo Infinite. Traditionally a burst rifle with a built-in, low magnification scope, the Battle Rifle is a fantastic option for picking off opponents from a distance if you're looking for adaptability. It isn't all about Grav Hammers, you know. If you're looking to equip the Battle Rifle in Halo Infinite, we have everything you need to know right here.
Halo Infinite's Battle Rifle is a fantastic option for those of you looking to take on your enemies from a distance - it's an iconic burst-fire Assault Rifle that has a built-in low magnification scope. It's not all about Grav Hammers and Energy Swords, you know. Sometimes, keeping your distance is the best. Here's how to find and equip the Battle Rifle in Halo Infinite.
CAMPAIGN - Get your hands on one of these
If you want to find and equip a Battle Rifle while you're running around Zeta Halo with Master Chief, you'll just have to find one - basically. They're not too rare, so you should stumble across a Battle Rifle or two with ease.
Of course, this is only a temporary solution though. If you want to have a Battle Rifle to hand at all times, or at least know where you're guaranteed to pick one up, you'll need to earn Valor and upgrade your UNSC FOBs.
Valor is a progression system akin to Halo Infinite's Multiplayer XP. You earn it during Halo Infinite's Campaign by completing objectives and killing enemies. Finishing main story missions will net you the biggest amount of Valor, but you can also get it by clearing Outposts and rescuing Marine Squads - side activities, basically.
When you hit 1,100 Valor, you should be able to unlock and spawn a Battle Rifle at any one of the 12 FOB locations in Halo Infinite. This will mean you're always able to equip a Battle Rifle.
MULTIPLAYER - Halo Infinite's Battle Rifle
If you're a series veteran, you'll be pleased to know that 343 Industries hasn't succumbed to the pressures of modern gaming to add a class system in Halo Infinite. Other than having a basic spawn-in class that's universal for everyone in the lobby, the only way you can get other weapons and equip the Battle Rifle in Halo Infinite is by finding it on the map.
Halo Infinite has ten different maps available right now (Aquarius, Bazar, Behemoth, Deadlock, Fragmentation, Highpower, Launch site, Live Fire, Recharge, and Streets) and each one has a specific set of spawn locations for the BR - alongside all the other weapons available.
Of course, Halo Infinite could re-introduce classic modes like SWAT - which spawn you with a BR by default - however, there's no actual way to specifically choose to equip a Battle Rifle in Halo Infinite.
The BR75 Battle Rifle is just one of Halo Infinite's weapons - some new, and some reimagining of series classics. Here's the complete list:
