Halo Infinite Devs Are Already Working On Post-Launch Content

The first monthly update for Halo Infinite has arrived and it brings a couple of new details about the development of the game.

While this releases won't have any big reveal or anything similar, it does provide us with some insightful intel about the game's development process.

The Sandbox Team

For January's "Inside Infinite" post, the Sandbox team was invited to talk about their job and what are they working on.

In case you were wondering, this is the team in charge of developing every key element that every Halo player can interact with. We are talking about guns, maps, equipment, and several more objects.

These concepts also include some mechanics such as health values, shield recharge times, and more.

For example, they are the ones in charge of developing Master Chief's new grappling hook that we saw using during the demo back in July 2020.

Post-launch content already in development

When asked about what they are currently working on, one of the devs mentioned they are playtesting launch content and starting to work on post-launch content already!

"We have everyone fixing bugs on our launch content and some exciting efforts kicking off for future updates – like new vehicles, equipment, etc."

He went on to explain that all the launch content is being playtested pretty much daily in order to find any bug or glitch and polish the game as much as possible.

On top of that, the team is also making sure that the vision of the art department is being effectively translated into the game. This means that some objects might get a few tweaks on their design in order to follow those early concept arts and designs closely.

When are getting more info?

This "Inside Infinite" posts will be a regular thing from now on. The team has promised to release at least one every month.

We can expect these to release on the last Thursday of every month, or around that time. For this first entry, we got a few insights from the Sandbox team, but the next one is set to feature another side of the development crew.

When is Halo Infinite releasing?

The game doesn't have a specific release date at the moment.

Just like announced before, the post only mentioned that it will release during the fall of this year. So we are expecting a date announcement during the summer as those are the busiest months of the year for that.
