A post on Reddit by 343 Community Manager has promised more updates on Halo Infinite over the coming months.
Halo fans have been upset at the lack of info, but a new post confirms that updates will become more frequent
Monthly Updates for Halo Infinite
A 343 Industries Community Manger Brian Jarrad took to Reddit to respond to a post from a user that was worried about the lack of info and recent updates.
Brain responded by saying there was no need to worry. "Considering we went 12 month stretches of total darkness and our last update was on December 8, I don't think there's any cause to worry"
He clarified that the lack of a recent update was due to the Christmas holidays, and the need to get back into the "swing of things"
The response further committed to the promised Autumn 2021 release date, saying that they had some "runway ahead of us and some time to go"
Brain also said they were "committed to at least monthly high level updates and the next ‘Inside Infinite’ is coming out this week!”
Managing Fan Expectations
Although updates are going to be weekly, Jarrad stressed that the didn't want fans to expect "world premier big screenshots or huge things like a date announce" or anything else that could be considered ground-breaking.
Instead, the plan is to offer "context and insights into our team and the game we're making" to keep fans up to date with everything Halo in-between the larger Halo Infinite Marketing drops, and the full release campaign later in the year.
The info about updates comes shortly after a leaker confirmed that Halo Infinite will not have a battle royale mode, despite rumours to the contrary.
The leaker suggested that instead of a battle royale mode, players could expect a reinvention of Halo's vehicle focussed Big Team Battle.
